Pony height and body size?

I don't really understand these height analyzations  but I usually put them roughly 3 feet or so while Celestia is about 6 or 7 feet.

Hmmm...well, concidering their size compared to their surroundings and the other animals, it looks like they are about 2 and 1/2, maybe 3 ft tall? lol. Remember when Applejack was ridding on that cow's back in the Applebuck Season episode? She was tiny compared to that cow lol. Her dog is also nearly the same size as her.

 

So my guess is female ponies are around 2 or 3 ft tall. Males are close to 4 ft tall. I'm probably wrong, but tiny ponies are epic in my opnion

Taking from what I know from the word "pony", I assume that normal ponies in Equestria are about half the size a full grown human. A child could probably easily look the pony in the eye. I don't know about teenagers, but I assume there are ponies that are taller than others, so there could be teens at the same height as some of the ponies in Equestria.

seems legit to me. That'd fit about right with how the "older" ponies a slightly taller.

I could see the hierarchy also going up, where the two lead princesses are standing "above" the others both literally and metaphorically.

So tbh I figured they were 4-5 ft tall for the average pony.

Apples are not viable source of information since they differ in sizes.

 

To be honest, a picture concerning this was already posted here some time ago I believe.

Although I'm not sure if it's viable anyway, since I don't know if the sizes aren't messed up somehow. I mean, they all should be compared in one pic, otherwise their position and size towards the viewer change, and so their heights this way.

People get a weird idea of how big 'ponies' are because of miniature horses, which are technically a different thing.

You know, this possible height discussion is interesting, but I think what is even more interesting is how the ponies can use their bodies, which is far different than most equines. I mean, heck, they regularly sleep in beds and sit like a cat or dog. They are almost a cross between a quadruped and a biped.

People seem to forget that donkeys and zebras share the same model as the ponies. They have heights of 13 hands (the only average height shared between them both). I would like to point out that this height measurement is to the withers (shoulder) so this doesn't take into consideration the ponies large necks and head which could easily be 1/3 of their entire body seize. this could clock in at >17 hands which is nearly human height! Thats one way to get a head of the common crowd. Having seen the fan made Turnabout Storm crossing MLP with Ace Attorney, I'd go with the following info:

Phoenix Wright's Height: about 5'7"-5'9" (Ace Attorney Wiki)

After meeting Celestia, Phoenix comments she's the only pony he's met here in Equestria that meets him on eye level.

So, if that's the case, then the majority of characters are shorter than that.

 

But that's just my thinking; I'm not the best guy to give a universally-accepted answer.

1. Fluttershy is the oldest at the age of 20 (one year older than Pinky and enrolled two years prior to RD so she's much larger).
2. Apple Jack and Pinkie Pie are 19 (AJ and PP never attended school, at least as shown, but AJ does mention getting her cutie mark last).
3. Rainbow Dash and Rarity are 18 (RD and Rarity both were enrolled at the same year. That's why they are the same size).
4. Twilight Sparkle is the youngest at 17 years old (She is Princess Celestia's protege, but she was sent to Ponyville to CONTINUE her studies, therefore she hasn't graduated yet. She is also scared of being held back/sent back grades, implying that she is still in school).

So, with these ages, My guess would be:

1. Fluttershy is around 5'11" (Small and quiet for her age)
2. Applejack is around 5'10" (Big enough to move huge crates of apples, right?)
3. Pinkie Pie is around 5'11"
4. Rainbow Dash is around 5'8" (has to be tall enough to be sports captain)
5. Rarity is around 5'6" (Small and dainty, am I right?)
6. Twilight is round 4'8"

Of course, these are in human heights.
