Do you have family night still?

Moonlight

Personally...I don't...I barely spend time with my family.

I'm usually locked up in my room, watching anime, playing video games, or listening to music.

I love my family but I don't have interest in spending time with people, honestly.

Do any of you still go to movies together, go shopping together, or at least spend time with your family?

My main life with my family in a nutshell. :P

Lately, it's been kind of worse with my family to the point of them against each other, so I stay and care for myself most of the times.

Well, usually only when my brother comes to visit on the weekends.

He's a real fun dude.

Just the other night,we played a board game together.

But,other than that,not really.

I haven't really had a family night in a while. Possibly over a year I think. Life has gotten way to busy with work, brother plays sports, and mom works on the weekends sometimes. I'm also usually messing around with cars and that takes a lot of time out of my day.

I'm basically in the same boat as you. I barely spend any time with my family. I prefer isolation, even from my own family. I'm just a loner like that. It's just the way I am.

Even though I'm a bit old(I mean teenager old), I still spend time with my family. But I swear, if you ever spend a family night with mine..... You better get ready with some body armor! Family nights with me are usually hectic. Everytime, someone has to make fun of someone else and they start fighting, argue about food, etc. My grandma was so pissed off the other night, she held a butter knife and threatened me when I was complaining about how I like the show in a loud fanboy like tone.

+Most of the family I spend any time with at all is extended family because that's all I really have. On the other hand, spending time with family at all is not something I'm too incredibly fond of, especially since we don't exactly meet eye to eye on things (My Atheism being the main one, some of my extended family is devout Catholic, we get into fights about it often). When I do meet with my family, it's for some special occasion, otherwise most of them refuse to associate with me, so we don't really have any kind of regular "Family night" in any sense of the word.

It's not like we really did when my parents were still around either. Basically my father was either overseas working for the military or out drinking somewhere when he was home and my mother worked at a nurse at a hospital and those circumstances did not lead to much time for bonding. I was always introverted so it's not like bonding was something I wanted to do anyway.

My brother and cousin are the only two family members I actually feel close with, as they're the only ones I live with and thus talk to on a day-to-day basis. My brother isn't always the most agreeable person but I love him none-the-less, and me and my cousin are very close, he's very intelligent and is a blast to talk to about things like philosophy or current events.

Usually we don't have a specific night, but on weekends and Friday nights we go out to a restaurant. It's not that bad, but I wish we had game nights  :(

We never did. My family, that being my parents and I, often ate dinner together. Beyond that we didn't spend much time together just hanging out or doing any kind of bonding activities. We aren't dodging each other or anything. I simply don't have much to say to them or they to me.

Same goes for my extended family. We see each other twice a year at most (Thanksgiving and Christmas). Reunions are rare and have a small turnout.

Even though I live about an hour away from my parents now, I still try to meet up with them every several weekends. I still don't know many people out here, and they always enjoy seeing me - I guess I've had a better relationship with them than a lot of people have had with their parents.

I tried to have those kinda nights when I was younger with them, but after I while they didn't like them and stopped them. Now they complain about me never being down stairs with them.

But I now prefer staying alone in my room typing and blogging on my computer, so I'm happy. Unfortunately they don't understand that I like being alone and force me to stay downstairs sometimes.

I do spend time with my family, however, it is ussually when we are having dinner. When you are in 4 college prep classes, are in a band, have a job, and working on the blueprints of a youtube channel, you dont exactly have the most time in the world :(

Pretty much this, myself.

My parents and I have always had a pretty good relationship, though my mother and I are good at rubbing each other the wrong way over relatively minor things from time to time. My extended family as well are all decent folks for the most part, though I tend to rarely see or interact with them due to a lack of common interests and geographic distance.

As for my parents, I tend to meet up with them every couple weeks for lunch or dinner. I tend to go camping with my father once a year, canoeing on occasion, and things of that sort.

Though we've not always agreed on certain things, and have driven each other close to insanity on more than one occasion, they always did their best to give me the best upbringing they could manage.

I regret that my experience with family seems to be extremely uncommon among the folks that I know.

We don't really have "game" nights persay. We normally eat together as a family and when we go out for dinner and whatever else, there isn't any thoughts as to if one of us is going to stay behind. I'm very close with my family (even if I spend an hour or two a day in my room) and I want to keep it that way.

We've never had a "family night" period. We have always spent some time together simply because we live in somewhat small living quarters a lot of the time but when given the choice I personally always wish to spend time alone. When and if I ever move away from here I'm not likely to keep in contact with my family. If I can support myself I feel no real reason to ever talk to people unless I want to, not because of some sort of duty since they are family.

We still go out to the movies now and then, or order take out and watch a movie at home together at least. We also go out to restaurants as well. There's no more game nights, though. The odd part is that I'm the one trying to get a game night to happen most of the time, despite me not wanting to spend a lot of time with my family.

My mum doesn't live with me in the same house and my dad always falls asleep when he's watching a movie, which makes the whole thing really really boring, so - no. I don't spend time with my family, not really anymore. We see each other, talk a bit, maybe go to the cinema or the city once a few months, but nothing more. I more spend time with my friends.

We are one in the same on this matter... I hate spending time with people when i could be alone haha, but yes we do sometimes have a family outing where we watch a movie, but we also eat dinner together every night, i know some families dont do this anymore :/

The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world. So wake up... Wake up and smell the ashes.

Even when my Dad was alive we didn't have much family time... We ate dinner together sometimes but we were all so busy that it never really happened... My dad tried to have a family time we all sat down (everyone except my mom who was working or just wanted to be alone) and get us to watch veggie tales....

We did go on Vacations sometimes and really I haven't really seen any of my family (other the my sister who I am close to) for years... We don't get together for Christmas or thanksgiving or anything else because everyone has there own families now and don't care to do anything together.. Me and my sibling do get together for Christmas just not with my mom.

My life is too complicated for family time >.>

Well yes I guess strangely, although not with my actual family. My floor, Stevenson, at college, has a house dinner night every Tuesday where everyone on the floor tries to meet up to go to the dining center together. We even have a reserved room.
