Do you have family night still?

My family consists of me, my younger brother and my mother. We barely talk to each other, make effort to avoid each other and we haven't actually used our dinner table as anything other than a place to pile newspaper/groceries/dishes in years. However, every Sunday that airs a new episode of Breaking Bad, the three of us come together and watch it together. We've watched every episode together since season 2. The only other "family nights" are sometimes me and my mom will watch indie/arthouse films together.

Well, I don't live with my family anymore, so that eliminates quite big chunk of this. But I do have a lunch and an afternoon of chatting on the weekends with my mother's side of the family (well, it's really just two people, so it's not this huge family lunch you might imagine) and I go to my dad who lives in a different city than me when I have the free time and we always get drunk terribly and talk about pretty much anything and everything. Which is kinda awesome, actually. And that's about it, really.

Not really. It's been hard to hang out as a family together ever since my parents got err....divorced and since my sister moved out. I'll hang out with my mom of course sometimes of course but, we don't really hang out as a family.

I wish my family had a family night. When I was small, I would spend time with my parents and my twin brother playing board games, talking, and just having an overall good time. Now, no one has time for that anymore. My dad is always at work, my mom is never in the mood to play games, and my brother would rather play Minecraft. It's kinda sad how American society is spending less and less time with their families. What ever happened to those bonding moments?

It has been pretty rare with my family and I to have a family night. Kind of died down drastically after my father retired from the military and all of us moving down here to Texas. I'm always in my room, either here on the laptop, playing the Xbone, or PC games. Or contemplating what to do next.

Yet we are trying to. Ha, I convinced my parents to play some N64 games on an emulator with my laptop (plugging it in with an HDMI cord to our giant TV). Played Mario Party 3 (I won once, another saturday, my dad won.) and Mario Golf. Played Blokus and Scramble. Hopefully with my N64 finally repaired and an extra controller that I bought, we can play some Mario Golf on the legit console other than using Xbone controllers.

My parents don't even give a shit that I'm an only child...And they shut themselves up to fuck in their room EVERYDAY...And ever since I was a kid they've been doing this...They never think we should do anything together as a family...

Yeah, I generally sit down and watch a movie with my folks once a week, and we generally stay up chatting afterwards if it's the weekends. We've always had a great relationship throughout my life, even during my teenage years.

We had Family Board Game Nights when I was younger. Now, if we want to spend time together, we kick on a movie and gather around.

My sleeping hours are pretty different to my parents, so unless I changed them again, family night is pretty much impossible with me nowadays. x3 Either way, just me and my parents wouldn't be too fun, especially since my father tends to get agitated when we don't do something he likes (which often bores the rest of us) and nothing worthwhile ever happens, conversation-wise. We used to have something close enough to family nights involving Wii Sports, but I wouldn't say I'd be happy to have them again.

:D Sure do!

When I go to visit my parents every second Friday, we'll watch a movie and crack out the board games to play something along with the rest of the immediate family! Occasionally we'll opt out for a video game instead, but it depends on the day.

I don't see my family enough. Once in a while i see my brother, and we go for a cold one together. Doesn't count. I get invited to family events, birthdays, wedding, etc. sometime. Still wouldn't call it "family night" though, it ain't that frequent.

Hmm well sometimes, recently my father has been away and we can't really do anything, but my mother and brother and I will play a game of poker or maybe a silly little game on our phones together :3

Nah. We've all sort of outgrown the family-night thing, and we never really did have one to begin with, but that doesn't mean we didn't spend plenty of time together. I live in the downstairs and my mom & stepdad live upstairs, and my brother lives in a different town about 10 miles away. We're both in our 20's.

I hate spending time with my family (well, mostly my parents), but my parents keep trying to get us to do stuff together...

We end up only sometimes doing things together.

I never had a family night at any point in my life. My family are the kind of people that prefer doing their own thing, and I am no exception. I prefer to just go into my room and play some games, or watch some films, or listen to some music :)

I don't think I have ever really had a family night, not regularly at least. The closest thing to this I have now is going to my brother's and playing one of his many different tabletop games with him and his girlfriend and another friend if they are over. That is pretty fun though, he has a huge variety of different games.

My family works almost all of the time. What little time I do spend with them basically amounts to an hour or two a week. Other than that it's just me. Friends and I probably wouldn't go over well since I don't socialize but i'm really not bothered by it that much. I'm in my room 24/7 just about. The outside world is mean and scary.
