I'd rather spend a day with Twilight. $10000 isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things (especially if much of that gets lost in taxes). It doesn't take long to earn ten grand, especially for the career I'm aiming to pursue. On the other hand, how often do you get the opportunity to meet your favorite pony? Honestly, money would be the last thing on my mind. The opportunity cost isn't even worth considering.
