How, and why, did Pinkie become attracted to Dashie?

It was hinted that all of this started from the very day the Sonic Rainboom was first done by Dashie, turning Pinkie's otherwise-miserable life.

 

Other than this, in-universe-wise, can anyone tell me what caused Pinkie to supposedly get attracted to Dashie, and why?

Pinkie isn't attracted to Rainbow. She just likes how talented and a good friend Rainbow is.

 

I think it's overthinking if people actually think Pinkie is attracted to her just because Rainbow performed the Sonic Rainboom.

No, this is never the case in the show but fans do run with certain scenes and episodes and Rainbow Dash seems to be shipped with pretty much everypony anyway.

Pinkie Pie is probably just getting more attached to Rainbow Dash in a friend-type manner. There's definitely no romantic attraction, at least within canon.

 

Though if it really was attraction, well everypony loves Rainbow Dash's swag so I really don't blame her one bit.

Well, while Pinkie and Dash seem to be good friends, I wouldn't say they're attracted to each other. 

 

I think maybe the fact they share both being pranksters is a good way they bond as friends, and maybe because Pinkie is just friendly towards ponies, especially her friends.

 

But I don't think she's attracted to dash.

I dont think it was ever hinted once. In that episode Dashie's Sonic Rainboom helped everypony get their cutie marks, not just RD. In fact, the idea of Pinkie getting paired with anyone seems a little off to me. :okiedokielokie: 

If any of the mane 6 were to get a boyfriend, I'd think Pinkie would be the last. Her personality just wouldn't seem to work in a relationship imo.

Asking a question that presupposes a relationship between Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash more than a friendship, is a loaded question fallacy.

 

"How did Pinkie become attracted to Dashie" is like asking "Have you stopped beating your wife". All possible answers condone or verify a premise which may not [and most assert, is not] true.

 

If you acknowledge that bias and let it be for your own personal headcanon, that's all fine and good and you can decide however you want that this imagined relationship came to be. Just don't compel others to think that it's a unilaterally true trait of that character which all viewers should believe.

In my headcanon, Pinks is clearly, obsessively in love with Rainbow Dash lol.  RD is her waifu.  In "Griffon the Brush-Off," an episode that influenced this view, Pinks chased Dashie all over the place and was seemingly jealous of her spending time with another woman.  And she just couldn't stay away from her for long.  "It's later!"

 

In "Wonderbolts Academy," Pinks watched the mailbox like a sad little pink hawk and feared that Dashie would somehow forget her / fall in love with another, possibly Spitfire.  Upon realizing that Dashie had not forgotten her, Pinks was overcome with emotion and leapt into Dashie's forehooves.
