Cloby604 87 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 (edited) Do you preffer Furry versions of MLP or just the original charecters? Edited October 10, 2014 by Cloby604
Ashen Pathfinder 16,161 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 Well, it depends on the artist. I mean I can love both styles pretty darned equally if the artist is fairly competent or talented. 10 Pathfinder I Sojourner I Corsair | Zu'hra I Autumn | Scarlet Willow | Gypsy | Silverthorn | Crystal Whisper | Radiant Historia | And many other OCs~ Matching signatures with mah Bestie MOONLIGHT <
KokuraiNoSenshi 3,463 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 So long as the art is good, I love pretty much all the designs lol. I would post some of my favorite fuzzy humanoid artwork here, buuuuuuuuuut it is all really... Pushing it, so until I find something I feel safe to post I'll wait lol 3 Thank you Pinkamena-Pills for resizing the original, and putting that little message at the end
Pinkamena-Pills 6,839 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 Both. Depends on the art style tho. 2 Oatmeal, are you crazy?! Dovashy 1,734 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 Original characters, I'm not a fan of the furry versions. They make me feel a bit queasy for some reason, but that's just me. 5 Dovashy makes me think of soap xD.
Tao 7,742 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 Path has a point when to comes to Anthro Ponies, long as the art is tasteful I can dig it!

Dattebayo 2,850 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 I don't dig anthro. It's creepy. Must be the heads. All...haphazardly pasted on a candy colored human body...yipes. 4 ^Click for my Deviant Art^ You truly are the Rosa Parks of not understanding what r34 is. Jeric 46,851 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 Personal preference for art style is usually centered around the design style of the show proper. Vector or raster, sketch or paint, short muzzle vs long muzzle ... I actually like it when the artist takes adds their own take to the character designs. Anthro depends greatly on so many variables. Not a huge fan of the art style example in the OP. For example, I love these specific styles.
Banul 3,831 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 Furry reporting in. I was a furry before getting MLP, so I tend to like anthro ponies as long as they're done right. . I don't dig anthro. It's creepy. Must be the heads. All...haphazardly pasted on a candy colored human body...yipes. It can be pretty weird when people try to stick to the shows style when making anthro ponies. I don't think it translates very well.
Felix 1,363 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 Both. I love it all! Though I agree it should also be tasteful especially for anthro. Only issue I have is I don't always find anthro related art that's safe and done well. When I do I save it though. This one for instance has to be one of my all time favorites! 2 Credit to Kyoshi for the awesome signature!
GenderIsAnIllusion 2,177 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 it really just depends on hows its drawn for me....... My peep is against bullying.... Are you? http://mlpforums.com/topic/117034-suggestion-anti-bullying-campaign/
Flutter's lover <3 8,205 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 I like both. Then again, I was a furry long before I was a brony. I just find anthro stuff attractive. That is, depending on the art style and how they were drawn. If the artist has basically cut and paste a vector form the show on to an anthro body, it looks weird....but Anthro/furry can be done right. Here's a few examples from my collection of it being done right, in my opinion. Some have hooves, some have feet/hands..It's just how the artist drew her. (Yes, they're all Fluttershy. What'd you expect? ) 6 Fluttershy's lover, she's my waifu. Treble Bolt 1,122 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 I like ponies as ponies...I don't like seeing them with boobs, because horses don't have boobs...Idk, furry stuff is just strange when it's with characters that were never furry in the first place. 1 "In fire iron is born, by fire it is tamed"

Vox 870 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 It's been stated here before, but yes, it really all depends on the art style, not so much it being anthro or original. Who you jiving with that cosmik debris?

I gotta say that the Rarity one is amazing. dem eyes are beautiful. personally, I like like the pony versions a lot better. not that the furry ones are bad, it just... hmmm I'm not sure how to explain it. I guess if I saw one with really cute art I might start to take a liking to them. idk I'm on the fence here. I like both. Then again, I was a furry long before I was a brony. Draxon 214 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 Also speaking as someone who is both a furry and a brony, I tend to appreciate art featuring characters in their pony forms better, although I can't really put my finger on why. Maybe it just seems more natural to me? 1 Thrackerzod is best pony.

Sugar Cuddles 402 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 I like pony the most. But I do love the anthro art out there. Hell, I got a lot of such art of my own :3 Just tend to pick regular pony over the anthro

Starshine 16,333 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 Furry? That's a weird way to say 'anthropomorphized' I can stand the anthro versions, as long as they actually look like the pony instead of being a drawing of a regular human given skin color change and different hairdo, with little to no feature of their original selves. Instead of an anthro version of the ponies they look more like someone spared 5 minutes editing in the cutie mark and hats on top of an existing art.
Handsome Changeling 1,851 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 @@Darker, Thank you for stating that, both is for me, as long as the art is good and I like it who cares?
