Furry or pony?

Do you preffer Furry versions of MLP or just the original charecters?

Well, it depends on the artist. I mean I can love both styles pretty darned equally if the artist is fairly competent or talented.

Personal preference for art style is usually centered around the design style of the show proper. Vector or raster, sketch or paint, short muzzle vs long muzzle ... I actually like it when the artist takes adds their own take to the character designs. Anthro depends greatly on so many variables. Not a huge fan of the art style example in the OP.

Furry reporting in. I was a furry before getting MLP, so I tend to like anthro ponies as long as they're done right.

It can be pretty weird when people try to stick to the shows style when making anthro ponies. I don't think it translates very well.

Both. I love it all! Though I agree it should also be tasteful especially for anthro. Only issue I have is I don't always find anthro related art that's safe and done well. When I do I save it though.

I like both. Then again, I was a furry long before I was a brony. I just find anthro stuff attractive. That is, depending on the art style and how they were drawn. If the artist has basically cut and paste a vector form the show on to an anthro body, it looks weird....but Anthro/furry can be done right.

 

Here's a few examples from my collection of it being done right, in my opinion.

not that the furry ones are bad, it just...

I guess if I saw one with really cute art I might start to take a liking to them.

Also speaking as someone who is both a furry and a brony, I tend to appreciate art featuring characters in their pony forms better, although I can't really put my finger on why.  Maybe it just seems more natural to me?

I like pony the most. But I do love the anthro art out there. Hell, I got a lot of such art of my own :3  Just tend to pick regular pony over the anthro

Furry? That's a weird way to say 'anthropomorphized'

 

I can stand the anthro versions, as long as they actually look like the pony instead of being a drawing of a regular human given skin color change and different hairdo, with little to no feature of their original selves. Instead of an anthro version of the ponies they look more like someone spared 5 minutes editing in the cutie mark and hats on top of an existing art.

Thank you for stating that, both is for me, as long as the art is good and I like it who cares? If the artist likes to do furry art of them then go ahead.
