Discord, there is no shortage of chaos but much of that is a result of greed. Discord even before his reformation did do some bad things but was motivated more by having a laugh often at the expense of others  than any true malevolence. That is not to say a president Discord wouldn't have its downsides but at this point even Snips and Snails would make a better president than the current one or the one before him.

I went ahead and moved the thread to Show Discussion. Even though it is a hypothetical discussion on a political campaign for office, the best place for it would be where we hold discussion on the show and the characters.

 

And Discord got my vote, because tomfoolery and shenanigans is what pubic service is all about.

None. Sorry, I cannot suspend anything for this scenario. They are all one variety of tinpot dictator or another.

 

Sombra was a slave driving tyrant, Chrysallis was soul draining conquerer, Nightmare Moon was a lethally narcissistic goddess, and Discord was . . . well Discord.

 

None of them are individuals that would make for a better world, that's why they're the villains! I'd vote for Princess Celestia and Princess Luna in a heartbeat and defend their rule with my words and life if need be.

I would vote for Discord. As others have already said, chocolate rain is very appealing. Furthermore, I think he is the least malevolent of these choices and some of his actions might actually be fun. It would be even better if he has Fluttershy as his vice-president!

It's between NMM and QC, since they're the only ones with political experience who are unlikely to enslave us all (I'm looking at you, Sombra). I wouldn't mind dealing with Changelings, and I bet Nightmare wouldn't actually force the night to last "forever" since the only reason she suggested it was because nobody appreciated it. Well, plenty of people enjoy the night here.

She was just mainly questioning her sister's iron fist over equestria. Her banishment to the moon was unjust. The threats about eternal night were just words meant to incite fear in the helpless ponies. Her plan was to show Equestria how weak and unjust Celestia truly is.
