Not as absolutely dreadful as last year, but not great either. January was abysmal and February was much better. March, not so good so far, but there is time to steer it in a better direction before it starts the downward spiral.

So far, my year has pretty much been a rollercoaster.

Well, it had a rocky start.  In January I broke my left wrist and banged up my left knees slipping on some ice while crossing the street.  On the bright side, the break was minor and didn't require a cast.  The knee, while not broken has been quite sore.  It's only been about a week or two that it's starting to feel more normal.  Other than that, not much happening (knock on wood).

Mine is going pretty well, thankfully. I made some big leaps in my hobby of amateur astronomy this year and look forward to expanding even more next year. Gotta prepare for Mars return in 2020.

Eh. I mean, it's halfway through the year, so I suppose I'm doing something right. Usually the first half of the year is horrible, and that rings true for this year.

As some of you may know, I moved to Korea early this year. I've accustomed to it pretty well, but the first few weeks I was here, I was pretty messed up and stressed out. It didn't help that I'd fallen out with my (once) best friend either. By mid-March I was super done with life.

But, as I always do, I continued on, not really knowing why. It's now June, and I still can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am planning on having a great Christmas vacation however, so there's that.

Let's see: It's basically 2018 (The worst year of my entire life, quite easily) but I have found the love of my life. Best year ever...

 

Yep, even better than my childhood years and DEFINITELY better than the terrible year that was last year for me. That's not saying a whole lot, though in all honesty. As for the former, well, I don't think urinating yourself every other night is exactly good and neither is not being able to tie your own shoes. Even if I had a lot of nostalgic memories from back then mostly involving video games like Super Smash Bros., Pokémon, and the like as well as reruns of shows like MLaaTR, Rugrats, and SpongeBob, I don't think I can say they were great years. As for the latter, well, you cannot begin to understand the pain and misery that was last year, and I cannot hope to convey it in words (I'll just say life was at its absolute worst). It's stretched into this year a bit. Honestly, I'm lucky I have something positive in my life now because otherwise, well, I would likely not be here. And I don't mean just this site. I mean that I might quite possibly not be around anymore. I'll just say to avoid mentioning it specifically, what I and probably a lot of others think happened to @Midnight Solacewould likely have happened to me...

So far, totally okay.. I have had some proper financial struggles but I am working it out.. Somehow. I just look forward to getting back on my feet again so that I can travel again. I really miss traveling. I haven’t traveled for more than a year and it’s killing my spirit. I am going to apply for a school in August though, looking forward to try my wings in a new field. New jobs and opportunities coming my way!

My country is on fire and there's smoke in the air everywhere, but otherwise it's going really well! I've discovered a new comic book store and filled a few gaps in my library, and overall work has been really relaxed, so I've been having a good time.

So far, it's been kind of a so-so year, but it's only the fourth of January. Still 362 days left. I've already dealt with my share of $#!+ for this first couple of weeks, I HOPE AT LEAST. But I've also genuinely had a great time with my boyfriend during this new year, even if it has had its ups and downs sometimes.
