Would You Go to Equestria? How Long Would You Stay? What Would You Do?

If I was a pony then I'd just meet new friends and start enjoying my new and simple life in Equestria where everything is so easy and fun.

 

Though if life as a pony is actually really annoying and boring behind the scenes then no thanks.

Ok. I will explain what I would want to do in each forum.

Human: Well, it depends on location. If I woke up in the Canterlot Castle, I would take to the Princess, Shining Armour, Princess Meamourakadenza (or Pincess Cadence).

If I woke up in Ponyville. I would say hi to everypony. Talk to every main character. Ask Twilight Sparkle if she could possibly teach me magic.

If I was a pony:

Woke up in Canterlot Castle as Shining Armor. Make out with Princess Cadence for about 3 hours. Eat the most delicious foods and feel awesome as Captain of the Royal Guard.

Woke up as a Pegasus pony in Ponyville. Go put on a date with Rainbow Dash. I would race her too. I would also go to her house. Oh, I would also meet every character an become friends with Big Macintosh.

If I went as a human, I would try to find a way to be turned into a native sentient species, preferably a Griffin (best of both worlds: fingers, strength, and flying). Then I would turn Twilight to the Dark Side (if she could not be turned, I would talk to Luna); and we could rule Equestria as father... well, Brony, and... uhh, Pony, I guess.

 

If I was already a pony, I would skip to the ruling Equestria part.

If I were a human: I'd get out of bed or stand up if I was not in a bed, ponder my sanity and my spatial/temporal definition in existence, use the facilities of the house I was in or the nearest restroom if I don't wake up in a house, and then proceed to get some breakfast, acknowlegding the existence of the ponies I pass by a raise of the hand.

 

If I were an earth pony: Lament my fate, and wait in bed until the need to excrete overwhelms me and makes me have to get up to use the facilities. Then I'd go back to bed until hunger or thirst, whichever comes first, makes me get up. I'd repeat this cycle as a way of pouting for being cursed to the life of an earth pony.

 

If I were a unicorn: I'd want to load up on some knowledge, so I'd probably head to Twilight's house and ask her to teach me a few good spells. Then, after I've learned, I'd screw around with EVERYTHING. And I'd make Pinkie Pie explode.

 

If I were a pegasus: I'd get up, stretch my wings, and take to the skies. Fly all about and every which way, flying across Equestria and seeing all the magnificent sights. The list of things after that is... very long, and I won't bother you with it.

 

If I were a dragon: Err, this one is really complicated. I'm best off just telling people if they explicitly ask for it.

 

If I were an alicorn: Probably wonder why I'm the only male alicorn in recorded history.

 

If I were a changeling: Ohhh, the fun I would have. The paranoia and chaos I could cause... I'd have a Discord day.

I would be a tough decision for me. On one hand, you're giving up your friends, family, home, and personal possessions. On the other, you'll be getting a relatively carefree and happy life as a pony. And you'll get to leave behind the screwed up world Earth is today to a world of peace and kindness. I'm personally still thinking of it a bit, but if I DID go, I'd be sure to leave a message for my family.

I said it was a relatively carefree world, not a carefree world period. Look at it this way; From what we've seen, Equestria doesn't have to deal with Nuclear Weapons, SOPA, Global Warming, Serial Killers, etc., etc. Yeah, it has it's own problems, but from the looks of it, most of them, which come from wild monsters, tend to be avoidable as long as you don't wander into the Everfree Forest Not to mention that for the most part ponies are pretty happy creatures that apparently have a wonderful government.

I would talk to my family about it. tell them my reasons.

I would tell them that living there would mean we/I could have a care free life where you dont have to worry about getting mugged and then shot would be awesome.

Then tell them that we/I would be able to fly to wherever we work or do magic for a business.

I would say that I really want to go but if it meant I would never see them again... Than I couldn't.

I would tell them that the box will disappear in the morning and if you want to get away from all this death and destruction than we could all go and live there happily.

 

And if I did go but my family didn't come I would be very sad, but I would know that my family would know that I am living where I have always dreamed of living... so in some weird way I would be incredably sad but at the same time I would be the happiest pony in equestria.

 

I would totally be a Pegasus

And marry Fluttershy... then start being a solo flying performer... like the Wonderbolt's but just one pegasus.

I would only go if I had my memory wiped, and when I started out I was just being born.

 

Cause think about it, if you started out, say, as old as the mane six, your life as a pony would probably be hell.

 

First of all, you will have the memory of your family on earth, and you will probably miss them for a very long time. Secondly, you have the secret that you aren't actually a "real" pony, and that secret is a huge weight on your shoulder. Thirdly, you would still have the mind of a human, so when the world is so cartoony you would probably go insane. Fourthly, you wouldn't be used to your pony body. I'm just taking a guess that everybody here is at least over five feet tall, and seeing as ponies are about three feet tall off the ground, it would be a hard thing to get used to. And lets not forget you need to learn how to walk, fly, or use magic a lot later than all the other ponies do. So in my opinion, choosing to go their without being reborn and no memory at all of earth, would be a terrible choice. But I would so go there if I could be reborn.

Under the conditions that were stated the only real choice in my mind would be whether or not to thwart my astral form in equestria. When I am there in dream I am a dark blue pegasus -- and despite the fact that I can do some magic ( http://mlpforums.com...-fluttershy-ep/ ) it doesnt look like I would ever learn to levitate things -- at the very least not in the first year and a half.

 

If I chose unicorn it would be part of the package by default -- of course then the question would be what would happen with my actual magical abilities -- and I couldnt move clouds.

 

Then again if I went with pegasus there would be no guarantee it would be my normal form there.

 

(in response to the person above me, I am figuring I keep my memories -- that would be a real bummer to not -- as for getting used to even a pegasus body, you would be surprised -- it isnt THAT hard to do)

I would love to visit Equestria, because the carefree life of a pony sounds REALLY awesome, but I wouldn't want to give up my time on this world forever. I would miss my family too much to go. I still have hope for planet Earth.
