Honestly whats the point of even responding to them? Really the only sure fire way to put out the fire from haters is to just flat out ignore them.

Personally, I think that fellow Bronies should lay off on the aggressiveness towards the Anti-Brony "trolls". Simply because it creates a bad name for the non-flaming Bronies (most of the Brony community is non-flaming). 

 

As I am a troll myself I do troll the Anti-Bronies. But only if they insult me. Besides that, I do not troll on behalf of the Brony community. I troll on my own behalf. 

 

As for the Bronies that happen to get into flame wars; please, do not feed the trolls. The Anti-Brony trolls expect a negative reaction. When you don't give them a reaction you take away their satisfaction. Satisfaction is their "fuel" so to speak.

Actually, don't kill me for saying this, but some of the haters are justified in saying some of those things. The fact that many bronies can act quite explosively and aggressively only strengthens the haters dislike of the fandom, and enjoyment of trolling them. I've had some times where I have wished the people reacting so excessively would stop giving us a bad name. As the common internet phrase goes; don't feed the trolls.

 

I generally ignore trolls like that, because even if they start attacking a website, it's easy enough to deal with them. Sure, there are some things harder to fix than others, but in the end they just enjoy watching people like us squirm. I learned when I was young not to let the bullies or trolls push you around. The bigger your reaction, the more likely they'll continue pestering.

 

I know it's hard, but this is one of those moment where we should just stand by and let the haters let off their beloved steam.  

Overzealous and vociferous fans exist in every fandom. The fact of the matter is there is a double standard going on here. In every single debate I have ever had with a "hater"/ "skeptic" they always throw out bad things in this fandom. I counter them with the copious examples of similar happenings in other fandoms. Every single bad thing you can say this fandom has also come in copious amounts in others. In the end it always boils down to one thing.....its ponies. Thats it. If they hate this fandom because of its Overzealous fans, r34, cosplay ect then why dont they hate every other fanbase just as much? There is no justification for this double standard.

 

Though I agree with you that it is best to ignore such people. When if ever you have to deal with them, do not succum to anger, and do not be force full. Everytime I have had to deal with them I have always acted under the assumption that they are normal people who can be reasonable. When you can assertain they are not you end the conversation right there and then. 

 

Just a note that I never force people into anything. i dont care if people dislike the show just dont be a jerk about it. The same applies to the over reactive fans.

Honestly I think this whole idea of us organizing a website for them is a bad one.  The primary reason that we are still standing as a fandom is because our primary virtue is simply to love and tolerate.  That is exactly what we have to do!

Oh, this again. First, I didn't respond to them. Period. Second, I am ignoring them; at the least I don't bother them. Third, I have temper problems but I wasn't angry; if I was, my post would have been a lot less sensibility and a lot more CANTERLOCK. Fourth, They already look stupid. Enough said. Quite frankly I really don't care what these guys do or think. I'm not one of the many bronies who flip out if someone doesn't like the show or one of the bronies who fap to the characters, so really most arguments against bronies simply don't apply to me. As far as their raid goes, just let them. They'll post a couple things, get banned quickly, and consider it a great success. I used to be a huge troll myself and that's typically how things go for almost all trolls.

Haters are annoying but as @,  said the brony community wouldn't be as large without them, but I agree but the thing is they don't see how large the fandom/subculture is and if they they don't realize what it means if there are millions of people in the fandom it doesn't make sense to write them off as "faggots", pedophiles, and "furries" when those groups are minorities.

 

I guess my point is respect the haters... until they say something stupid, then use there words against them
