The official guidebook for My Little Pony, coming out on Amazon in 2 months. 256 pages, so this ain't your 5-year-old sister's book folks.

I'm actually pretty interested in this, and while I think a lot of it will be info that we already know, I think there will be at least a few tidbits that make the guide worth it.

This looks so cool. I've just pre-ordered mine on Amazon, and June cannot come fast enough! 200+ pages filled with pony! I wonder if it will have background ponies and such! This is awesome!

    Ooh that looks bucking awesome! I'm guessing that it has all of the ponies, background ponies too and their biographies in it. It will probably have how the show was made and exclusive artwork. Maybe it will even have some brony stuff in it as well, oh that would be quite swell. I'm going to buy my copy soon!

I don't mean to be a downer, but I feel like this isn't going to be as cool as it sounds.

 

"Inside this important tome, every pony will find everything they need to know about the hit TV show, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Character bios, an episode guide and a map of Equestria are just the beginning of this gorgeous full-color book. Don't miss the complete lyrics to all the songs, a collection of Letters to Princess Celestia, and much much more!"

 

Which makes me think that it's going to have a majority of coloring book pages and simple character bios. Such as, "Pinkie Pie is the pony you want for parties! She's friends with everypony!" Lyrics to all the songs can be found online as well as the letter's Twilight has sent. Also, an episode guide seems to be fairly pointless.

 

I won't make assumptions though, I guess we will see if Hasbro finally made some quality pony merchandise.

That's cool, I'm not terribly interested in it personally but we'll see what its contents hold when it releases, I might consider it if it has enough new information or cool artwork(as in not the same old reused vectors).

The description says that it is for ages 12+. This means that this book is for bronies. And I looooove the stuff for bronies.

 

I seriously wish some of my other favorite kids shows had awesome stuff like this. Like Teen Titans. :/

Awesome. I'd really like to get it, but I don't wanna get it online. I hope they'll sell it elsewhere, but either way, it sounds neat and I want to buy it. The fact that Faust, McCarthy, and especially Thiessen (who has been known to be a walking encyclopedia of Pony knowledge) had their hand in the making of this is what makes me excited about it.

After thinking about it some, I've decided I'll definitely have to give this book's reviews a looksy when it comes out.  If it sounds like it's great (which it looks like it very well may be), then I just might have to order it.  May very well end up being the first piece of MLP merchandise I purchase, which would be just fine by me.
