I love many of the characters hugely. I see some of the pics in this thread and I get this hugely affectionate feeling.

But the thought of marrying them seems a bit strange sounding... especially since they're fictional, it would make me seem strange wanting to marry someone who's not real.

 

Although if I had to pick, a few candidates are Applejack, Twi, Octavia, and Spitfire.

I know Octavia doesn't have a real personality but she's so beautiful and (I would hope) nice too.

Applejack and Twi's personalities are a lot like mine, too.

 

Spitfire though, I really have massive adoration for, I loved her personality, her looks, I just adored her.

...which got me really troubled seeing how different she is in the Wonderbolts Academy episode. She has to get the best of the best pegasi for the Wonderbolts I know, but she still made me feel really put off because of how stiff and stuff she is... I don't want to be put off by her, I love her! But who is the real her? The cool, calm, nice, awesome pegasus, or that? She isn't really that, is she? I guess?

But yeah there are some characters like that although I wouldn't say I love like romantically, I do love a huge lot, and the thought of doing stuff with them is appealing.

 

But marry?  Something seems off about it for some reason.

Is there something that describes super affectionate feeling/adoring about but not really being wanting to marry?

Yeah, I would definitely marry Pinkie Pie. If there's anything I want in a wife, it's for them to be jolly, funny, kind and most importantly devoted. Pinkie is devoted like nopony other, she'll always find ways to make me smile, and we'll have amazing amounts of fun together and pull pranks on each other. One hundred percent, the perfect pink pony is for me.

I dunno. Every character encompasses a portion of me taken to the extreme, or else I find a quality in them quite appealing. I'd say no Rarity or AJ for sure, and probably not Fluttershy or Rainbow. That leaves maybe Twilight and Pinkie.
