So...Would you?

I was watching The Matrix the other week, and it reminded me of a topic I'd wondered about a long time ago.

If you were given the chance to be plugged into a computer, and to experience life in Equestria as if it was completely real-to interact with the characters and share their adventures just as the characters in The Matrix experienced life that seemed to them to be reality-with the understanding that it would be a one way trip, and that back in the real world your body would lie in a coma in some hospital bed atrophying...

Would you go for it?

I'd do it. It's not like I have many friends or valuables in this world, and the pony world seems a lot friendlier. I'd go for it.

I only love you platonically.

As in plate tectonics.

As in two bodies sliding against each other.

If I could leave after a while I would do it on weekday afternoons, all day Saturdays if I would get a B-17

Reality is what you make of it. If it was a truly one way trip and there was no way of it ending prematurely because I, say, died in the real world or something then why not? Doesn't matter what's real and what's not if you experience it the same regardless.

That's kind of the way I would have looked at it before I had a family-I would have done it too.

I guess life is just a series of experiences, cumulating in mortality. Seems like it would be a lot more enjoyable in Equestria than here.

No. Even though the real world is absolute hell compared to Equestria, it is my world. I have one life, and I want to use it to try to help fix this beyond broken world, even if only a little.

Nope. All it takes is just one hater to unplug me.

I'd much rather buy an oculus rift and stay away from risks like death. ;)

Yeah-that's kind of the downside of it-you lose control over what happens to your body. And there sure are a lot of haters in the world...

Definitely not. Just knowing my real body is out there comatose kind of kills it for me. Plus, this world is pretty great  (we are the ones putting together all those fantastical worlds and ideas, after all) and you'd be hard-pressed convincing me to leave it for good.

No. I'd rather experience life in Equestria in reality, not in a virtual simulation with my body plugged in.

Sure-as would we all-however, since Equestria only exists in fantasy it would be tough to experience it in reality-as we perceive it to be on this plane of existence.

Their may be a chance... a small chance, that their is a planet that is similar or the same as Equestria, It is just that we do not have the technology to see it. Or if we make a machine to travel dementions we can find an alternate world of ponies...
