Nobody really tries to understand us, just mock us. 

People are afraid of what they do not understand. The kicker is when people complain about something (Bronies for ex:) but never try to understand it; instead they waste all the energy they could put towards understanding something and rather they complain about it. 

Humankind has come a long ways but in some fields we are lagging behind..severely. People are upset over all the wrong things honestly. Instead of worrying about the island of trash floating in the Pacific Ocean we concern ourselves over how people demonstrate their love and with whom during their own personal time. Instead of trying to tackle globalization and supporting a rising world population, we are worrying about legalizing marijuana. Let's go a step further - I remember when American Idol was in its heyday, more U.S. citizens voted for that show than during the presidential election ~ then when people began complaining about the President...astonishing.

- Religious Debates (Neither side can properly defend their opinion.)

- Quasi-intellectuals (or people that think that they're smarter than anybody else) with bigoted opinions 

- "Im 9 and this isnt scary" - Too many videos to name 

- Fanboys that can't help but reference their obsession without regarding the relevance of said obsession

- Braindead insults 

- Internet sailors that post various combinations of swear words

- Darude - Sandstorm

- Too many other things to name

I hate the cruelty and bullying. People have no shame in what they say. They don't realize that those who put up the videos read their comments. Sure, I believe in criticism as much as the next person. However, I don't believe in putting down the person just because you don't like their style or what they are doing. If you don't like it, then you should go to something you do like.

 

At one time, I was watching a video of Jun in Spiv States. A majority of the comments there were targeting his teeth. Saying how he had bad teeth, needed a dentist or braces. It pissed me off because people are just so keen to putting others down on youtube rather than just enjoying the damn video. There was only one person on the entire video who actually had the guys to say that she found his teeth cute... and frankly? I actually agree with her. Nobody's perfect, you know?

Well in my opinion comments are just stupid because no body uses them the way they were meant to be used. For example one of my favorite youtubers broke up with his girlfriend and made an "I'm sorry" video talking about how he has changed.. And in the f**king comment section people were calling him pathetic, and retarded. I replied to all of their comment saying shut the f**k up! You're a douch if you think that's funny

What don't I hate about Youtube comments? They seem to be a gathering place for every conpiracy nut, every bigot, every semi-literate preteen who just found the caps lock on the net. Basically, this is where people who feel no moral or intellectual responsibility for what they're saying as long as it's online will gather and attempt to destroy everyone else's faith in the human race.

 

Sometimes I look at them anyway to see if someone had anything relevant to say, but a few replies down I run into the first white supremacist or anti-Semite and then give up. (There can't possibly be as many of these people in the USA as there appear to be on YT. They seem to make up about 50% of the commentators on some pages.)

 

And let's not forget the pitiful advertising spam: "Wow guys this is a really great video and until today I had no one to watch it with but this awesome web site, HornyAndDesperate.com, just hooked me up with the love of my life. She has an unusually pronounced Adam's apple and smells heavily of cabbage but nobody could stop us from finding love on HornyAndDesperate.com. Check it out dudes."

I guess I hate the climate in general rather than anything specific about the comments. YouTube, for reasons I do not know, is like 4chan: legendary for its users' pointless aggression and utter lack of intelligence.

 

I remember when Google tried to improve the civility of YouTube by forcing people to use a Google account to make YouTube comments, after mandating everyone to use their RL name in their Google names. Well, we all very quickly saw how that ended.

I hate it when the comment is nothing but negativity. In most of my own YouTube comments, I do my best to civilly answer some questions the uploader may leave at the end of their videos (Like Dr. Wolf videos), add my own positive thoughts about a fanmade video (like My Little Disney), and even sometimes add jokes to a scene I thought was funny (like on several Nostalgia Critic videos)!
