A good one that came to me a while ago is if Pinkie Pie happened across an extremely depressed pony with no hopes or dreams (who I'll just name "One-Shot" because I can't think of anything better, and the fact that it would most likely be a one-shot character), who would feel even more intimidated being around ponies who are on their way to success in life as the Mane 6 are. Somewhat like my OC if his Eeyore complex was turned Up To Eleven. I would have Pinkie throw a party and sing a Lou Monte-style song at some point during the episode (possibly with a bit of Italian in it just for the fun of it), and One-Shot would actually be put off by Pinkie's extreme enthusiasm. It's sort of like "A Friend in Deed", except One-Shot is genuinely depressed, not just old and crotchety, and Pinkie Pie wouldn't act like a crazed stalker. She would just do everything within her power to try to cheer One-Shot up only to have it backfire. One-Shot's spirits would be a bit lifted, and although Pinkie Pie could not cure One-Shot's depression, she made One-Shot realize that there are still people ponies (ytf did I just do that?) who care about him/her and what he/she does with his/her life.

It sucks that the key episodes are over because then I think it would have been a great one for Pinkie Pie, but I think it would still have worked even as a tweak to "Pinkie Pride", as perfect as that episode was. Substitute "One-Shot" for Spike and I believe it could still work as well.

If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go off and read this synopsis to Meghan McCarthy and bribe her in millions of Dogecoins to make this an episode and give me a credit.

I want an episode about twilight having a mental breakdown. She loves books and lives by them...well what if the books are by same author or something or one book "disagreed"with the other. So she goes crazy re reading all her books, questioning everything she lives and goes by.

That not the idea really, I just realised that I want to see it -

Episode about Big Mac and HIS friends, that could be ordinary slice of life or episode there something happens for example with AJ and Big Mac with friens trying to help her. That's what I want to see.

*clears throat* okay, everypony, take a seat. i got this.

here is one of two episode ideas that i have dreamed up. and yes, i dream in ponies. what brony doesn't? anyway, here's one.

each of the mane6 have an evil counterpart, making life miserable in ponyville. the evil counterparts are the exact opposite of the mane6 in every way. one day, Rarity meets CounterRarity and she discovers that she has absolutely no sense of style, and is extremely grreedy. CounterFluttershy is loud and obnoxious, and really mean. CounterTwilight is stupid (literally. the girl doesn't even know how to open a door!) CounterRainbow Dash is kinda emo. Everything Dashie thinks is awesome, CounterDashie feels is the stupidest thing anypony has ever heard of. CounterPinkie Pie is... well, imagine pinkamena, but darker, and more hate-filled. and CounterApplejack? you may have guessed it. She is the laziest pony ever and can not tell the truth to anypony, no matter how small. the Mane6 blame discord, but flutters confirms that he has been reformed. Discord, admiring the chaos, wonders who could do so much, and with such... finesse. but he confirms that he would never dream of such a thing."After all, dreams do come true, you know," discord says with a laugh. then, cut to commercial.

my other idea is this:

Ponyville is converted into a winter wonderland caused by the Icetrix, a powerful ice-loving unicorn with evil intentions.

Twilight is working on some magic spell that is naturally backfiring.

She and Applejack switches bodies.

They try to act like each other but only end up as being caricatures of each other.

Moral of the story: Ponies are always have more than what meets the eye.

Here is an outline for the library episode in season five:

The first half would deal with Twilight and her friends dealing with the loss and remembering all the times they had together.

The second half would be about Twilight's friends, fellow princesses and the Ponyville residents giving her new replicas of the items that she had lost in the explosion.  Big MacIntosh even gives Smarty Pants back to Twilight.

The moral would be that just because you lose something physical, its really the memories of that something that will stay with you forever.

Song: "Keep the Memory in Your Heart," sung by Princess Celestia, Princess Luna and Princess Cadence.

Written by either Meghan McCarthy or MA Larson.

Dunno.

Some more info about Celestia and Luna's backstory? Perhaps a huge war started a few years after they were born and their parents went missing during the said war, and they think they're dead. And the exposition leads up to... something.

Another thing that concerns me: the fact that Applejack lives with what I guess is her grandmother. What about her, you know, younger parents? Perhaps Applejack reveals that her mother lives all the way on the other side of the country, and her father went missing soon after she moved away. Soon after the exposition, a strange stallion comes to Ponyville and Applejack almost instantly recognizes him as her father, and maybe scolds him for leaving her after her mother moved away or something. I've got nothing else on that one.

A season Finale idea:

A mysterious monster that has the appearance of a large dragon performs an ancient ritual with scattered pony bones. The dragon lord, Fafnir, creates a reincarnation of an old stallion, an almost perfect replica of Starswirl the Bearded that was remade to have a sadistic personality. Fafnir sends the Replica Starswirl to gather up a force of evil in order to raid Canterlot and steal Princess Celestia's and Luna's immortality, making Fafnir invincible.

So the Replica frees and recovers old villains from the past in order to form the alliance, including Queen Chrysalis, Tirek, and even a resurrected Sombra in order to invade and destroy the Equestrian capital. The plan is to corrupt all four sides of Equestria, invading all of the important cities, and meet at the central of the country in order to execute the plight for immortality.

Cue the invasions of North, South, East, and West Equestria in which no characters can stop because of the powerful forces, and then around halfway in the 2nd part the Canterlot invasion begins, and the Mane 6 defend Canterlot by picking off the villains one by one, leaving the Replica left. The villain and the main characters meet in the Castle courtyard as the Replica attempts to wipe them out by blowing up half of the castle, and then cue a fight scene, the villain's defeat, and then the ending.

And thus we leave the Fafnir plot hole for the next season.

How about that?

gonna take you out

Well considering that the Journal of the Two sisters just came out, and the comics are doing some Celestia and Luna lore building, it would not surprise if the show writers might simply let other forms of media take care of them for a while since S5 most likely is all going to be about the girls figuring out their new roles on the council of friendship and Twi as the princess of friendship.

As for AJ fork, it has been confirmed by the staff and artist that FAD two stars were AJ's folk and that they are join just like Faust had intend for them to be.

As for episode ideas, here are a few I had posted on Derpi and a few new ones

Derpi ones:

Guess who’s coming to ponyville: AppleJack and family get a letter from Braburn about him coming to Ponyville for a vist along with his special somepony…who turns out to be little Strongheart. How will Applejack and family react with Braburn dating somepony who is not only not a earth pony, but not even a pony.

Bat Country: By request of Princess Luna, Fluttershy and co are tasked with helping the small population of Bat and night ponies reintegrate into Equestrian society, however due to the ’evil’ myths and legends surrounding them as well as the bat and night ponies mistrust of ’day walker’ the new council of friendship will have a lot of their hooves to be able to bring everypony together. (Reappearance of Flutterbat, only she has this form under control)

The colt who cried Timberwolf: A spin on “the boy who cried wolf” AppleJack is asked by Princess Cadence and Prince Shinning Arming to investigate the recent crystal sheep napping that seem to be connected with the rise in Timberwolf sightings within the Crystal Kingdom. With only a trickster of a sheep herder testimony to go on, can AppleJack be able to figure out who, what, where and why the sheep are being sheepnapped and will AppleJack also be able to get this fibber foal to tell the truth on the sheep as well as why he lies in the first place.

File under F for Friendship: Twilight and co under one of their first motions as the council of friendship decides to help Mare Mayor and the rest of the government of Ponyville prepare for Ponyvilles 95th founding celebration. At first Twilight is in heaven, putting her skills in organizing and princess related abilities to work, however soon she see’s that running a town, nor being a true princess of friendship and leader is not as easy as she thought. Will Twilight be able to deal with all the mane pulling issue that Ponyvillie will throw at her as well as learn that the princess of friendship strength does not lie within, but…in her friends and fellow ponyvillians.

Parents Day: Every year parents day comes around and Applebloom finds herself lost in thought as to what to get her “parents”, stumped this year, she with the help from her friends, spike and rest of the mane 6 try to find the perfect gift.

(This ep will cover topics such as different family dynamics such as divorce, death, adoptions, single parents and possibly same sex parents. It will also cover the importance that blood does not always mean family and that the best gifts not always can be bought. )

*Note on Parents Day* I had later suggested that the more mature issues could simply be covered in song form since this would give DHX the flexibility in covering a more mature topic without having to go all serious or after-school edu mode on the plot.

Now for the new ones:

Horseshoe calling the Slipper Soulless: AppleJack, Rairty and Twilight must venture to Cantorlot for individual reasons, however leading them all to spend large amounts of time with the Canterlotian upper crust. With both AppleJack and to some extent Twilight feeling like fish out of the water, it is up to Rarity to show and teach the girls that passing judgement on the Canterlotian is no better then the judgement that the Canterlotians sometime pass on them, thus they must be the bigger pony and shine it on. Can AJ and Twi learn to be the bigger ponies and possibly see that Canterlot has more to offer them than tea parties and rich snobs? or will all of Rarity's hopes of having her friends enjoy their time in Canterlot be dashed when the Princess of Friendship and Barrier of Honesty feel its time that Canterlot had a taste of their own medicine.

Wings for the Flightless: For all young Pegasus in ponyville, the time to join the Cloudsdale flight camp has begun.Having been practicing for months on end Scottaloo is ready and rearing for her test to join all the other Pegasus. However this dream is crushed when the reality that her inablity to properly fly is not something she will outgrow. With the knowledge that she will never fly properly like all the other Pegasus, can Scottaloo accept that she will be different. Can she also accept that maybe her dreams of flying can be archived but simply without her wings? (Note this episode will feature Derpy speaking once again, as well as Scootaloo getting her CM)

To remedy a rainy day Pinkie and Discord are sent by Princess Celestia to investigate reports of ponies becoming randomly depress and "gray" without any provocation. As they investigate and bound, a nefarious plot emerges when they stumble over an ancient beast that has made a pack with familiar party pony. Can Pinkie and Discord save an old friend and stop this evil or will the world once more face the evil reign of this soulless beast. (Return of Cheese Sandwich, the return of G1 Arbus, Pinkie and Discord duet with new singing voice for Discord, total musical episode. Pinkie transforms into her Rainpower Power form alone with slight alteration and uses a new ability)

Plan 6 from the Everfree forest.

Some creatures are visiting the Ponyville from the Everfree forest.

The mane 6 investigates.

:o

Twilight "We are not alone..."
Pinkie Pie "Well, duh we are here with you"

For the kids it could be a kind of semi scary episode like S1 e2.

The older ones could enjoy alien/xfiles etc references.

I'd like to see some D-Dogs. They really complimented rarity's character imo, and it turned out an episode i really enjoyed. I wouldn't mind revisiting them and possibly seeing some more of their lore and how they integrate into the show.

I think it deserves a scene not a whole episode. Might make a good opener for season 5. Twilight has too much sense to dwell on it but it is something she should acknowledge.

Considering the Tree-house ep was confirmed, I look forward to seeing what the show writers have for us when dealing with lose.

Here are a few more I thought up and would love some feed back, since I might decide make these one off short fics.

An Oddball in a Odd land: Discord now with the confidence in his friendship with fluttershy as well as twilight, begins to open up to them about his history as well as who he is as a Draconequus, all seem well until Discord in an attempt to show the world from his view, turns twilight and fluttershy into his kind and seem to wish to keep them like that. Will this new perspective give the girls some more understanding on who and what Discord is really about and can the other girls convince Discord that keeping fluttershy and twilight "stuck"is not only being a bad friend but is potentially dangerous for all ponykind!

The flight of the falconry: Twilight, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy on a mission as ambassadors of Equestria as well as the new friendship council, make their way to the grand mountains of the Griffon Kingdom where old friends and new adventure await. Can Twilight help sooth a 100 year old feud, can Rainbow Dash let her bia go when she meets the newly elected guard for foreign protection and can Fluttershy learn something new about judging a race by their plumes.

1) When helping Twilight with a time travel spell, Spike is sent back in time where he meets his parents.

2) After Spike comes to the realization that he and Rarity could never be together because of their age difference, he has a unicorn perform a spell on him from the castle of the two sisters that makes him age much quicker.

3) Rarity and Applejack switch roles for a week.

That's pretty much what happened in Simple Ways and Sisterhooves Social.

A Discored Angel: Fluttershy leaves Discord to watch Angel, much to Angel's demise. However, Angel soon starts to appreciate Discord more than Fluttershy, and decides to be his pet.

Show Shocked: Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon make fun of Sweetie Belle for being stage fright, so Sweetie Belle goes to a pony who has once been shy on stage, Fluttershy.

What if they made a episode where Rainbow Dash found a pony she liked and felt devoted towards but when she talks to her friends they tell her what she is likely to go through. This character meets them and they don't like this character letting rainbow dash know this her loyalty of this infuriates  her and ignores them but when she is on wedding day she gets afraid of her own free time and the time she can be with her friends causing her to run out on the character. Where do you think this would go? This a good idea or a bad idea?

Hi, @Jorguil. There was already a topic in which people could share their MLP episode ideas, so I have merged your topic sharing yours into it.

Please make sure to search the forums before posting a new topic, just to make sure that it doesn't already exist. Thanks :)

  • 5 months later...

Forgotten City - The Mane 6 recieve a distress signal from an abandoned underwater city that has long since been forgotten. As the girls investigate this ancient civilization, they learn about the city's foundation and backstory. Twilight even discovers a shocking secret about the creation of the show's entire world.

Prank Wars - The 30th annual Ponyville pranking competition is coming. Pinkie Pie is working hard to perfect her skills, making sure her winning streak isn't broken. However, the competition has a new face. Rainbow Dash enters the competition to challenge Pinkie's dominance. The rest of the episode is the two trying to one-up eachother with different gags.

Bad to the Bone - While out in town, Rainbow Dash throws a recyclable can into a regular trash bucket. Fluttershy insists on using the recycling bucket instead. Rainbow then tells Fluttershy she's too much of a goody-two-hooves, and that rules are ment to be broken sometimes. Fluttershy says she's cable of braking rules, but after Rainbow tells her to touch a "do not touch" object, she can't bring herself to do so. Fluttershy then becomes concerned, and tries to disobey a rule again, this time by flying in a "no flying zone" without getting caught. Successful, Fluttershy, then tries breaking more rules. The next day at Harmony castle, a crazy maned, gum chewing pegasus comes in and claims to be called "Bad Bone". But Rainbow can see its clearly Fluttershy taking rebelliousness too far. Rainbow tells her to drop the "Bad Mare" act, but Bad Bone says "who says this is an act technicolor mane". Bad Bone says she's sick of being "that goody-goody wimp, Fluttershy". could the yellow pegasus' new facination for rebellion and rule breaking be connected to her past?

A mafia Episode!

Think about this and you will see why it makes a great mafia episode: Apple Family controls the supply of Apple cider that everypony wants it...

At that moment, Apple Family stopped being a family, and started being a family... (in italics) B)

mmm... An episode about Fluttershy starting a kind of animal babysitting job, and in the duration of the episode she is recognized by a ton of pony for her great services and her business grows bigger, but then another pony who is also a great name in the business would competitionate with her then at the end an event would happen leading to both of the ponies learning something.

The title would be: Babysitting Business or Animals Rivals or Pony Bussiness

It could be a good idea for an episode I think :D
