I'm not much of a strong believer in capitalism ...to some extend yes but there are  things in both end I disagree altogether.

I really don't care much about politics, both sides say whatever you want to hear and promise big changes to get themselves elected then they sit around for 4 years not really doing anything except serving the special interests and lobbyists. Congress is even worse because they don't have term limits so they'll latch onto a seat for decades doing nothing but argue and voting themselves raises

Compared to American politics? I'd be considered extreme far left in terms of... well... fuckin' everything. Compared to other nations, say Scandinavian ones for example, I'd just be left wing. That is how skewed things are in the US. That we even consider right wing people left wing is literal insanity. It drives me up a wall how people can't tell the difference between right wing and "not quite as extreme" right wing. The ignorance in the general US population is staggering and, quite frankly, appalling.

The right is a reflection of the left. My place is outside this form of polarity. Let's hope the incoming global changes allow conflict to be the catalyst of cohesion between the divided collective of humanity. As challenge is a vital part of personal and global development.

It is still a shame that such drastic measures are needed to produce change. It says something about humanity.

I'd say i'm a bit more on the side of democrats, but I'm closer to the middle than anything. I'm not a fan of either party, nor am I a official member of either.

I definitely lean more towards the left, but I genuinely can't stand politics.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

I'm somewhere between libertarian and social democrat, but typically identify as 'progressive' because whatever. I believe in simple government with decentralization, but not at the detriment of the basic social safety net and funding of education and public health. Similarly, I support Medicare for All (single-payer insurance) but not socialized medicine (state-owned hospitals, etc). I find myself on the right and left on different issues, but typically left of center.

To be more accurate, I honestly don't relate to any modern political perspective 100%, but I'm aligned to the progressive camp around 80%. I would likely feel more at home with Bull Moose progressivism. (Teddy Roosevelt) I had the unique experience of being a Millennial raised by a grandma - and no, not a Boomer, a Silent Gen'er. When you're an older sibling and your parent is in their 70s / 80s, you learn to read, self-teach, and adopt a man-of-the-house role at a young age to some extent as well. One is also heavily influenced by their parent's ethics of course, and in my case, I got the ethics of the era of the Great Depression and World War II, a period when citizens had a stronger sense of responsibility to their community than they do today. They were also sticklers for striving for high ideals and setting the bar really high. It's frustrating for me politically and sometimes socially, but it took me some number of years to realize just what a unique childhood I had, and probably a real blessing as well, not that I'm that religious. If I had been with my parents all that time, I would have grown up on the oil fields and been a very different person, likely a metalhead same as them. (no disrespect to metalheads, rock on)

Also completely by design. That Overton Window has been shimmying right ever since FDR left office. Cause heavens forbid we get another monopoly busting president that actually fights for the welfare of the people. That shimmy turned into an all out sprint after """"""lobbying"""""" read "legalized bribery" was brought into the picture. It's gotten so bad that money is considered Speech to these people, and you can't turn down free speech right? Why that's unconstitutional even!

This pandemic has done a lot to reveal just how corrupt and in bed the government is with for profit corporations. Now we have two Right wing people running for office, cause like Hell is Biden anything other than Right Wing.

I guess as a libertarian socialist I'm far, far left of everything on the American spectrum... But that's fine, I really don't wanna associate with the party system anyway. There's no real choice when you're just choosing the hand that slaps you in the face.

I'm 100% libertarian. My general principle is: No one has the right to forcibly impose their will on anyone else (in other words, I'm a voluntaryist).

I'd describe myself as an anarcho-capitalist, but that's not completely accurate - I want there to be a ton of different societies with different economic systems, all composed of people who voluntarily choose to live in it. I'd choose to live in an ancap society, but that's only because I think that economic system would lead to a more prosperous society. If anarcho-communism or market socialism ended up leading to more prosperous societies, I'd probably change my mind and want to live in one of those societies.
