Are you excited for Christmas

Indeed, it's the one time of the year where I can go out and not be inundated by Country, 80s pop hits, etc. People whine about Christmas music all of the time, meanwhile back when I worked retail I was actually happy to switch over to something different for a month (although some of the versions of Christmas songs they played were absolutely terrible, what can you do?). I understand some Christmas songs are annoying... But has anyone ever stopped to think that maybe for some people (including me!) ALL Country music is irritating? So Christmas time is a reprieve from the awful music they play every other month of the year.

Exactly,  Although the only annoying xmas songs I don't like is when the song artists would change it to their pop modern style. Which ruins the song completely and taking away the "settled" feeling of  the classics. While my work played the xmas classical jazz, all my workers would complain how awful the musics are. Which kinda heartbreaking to see not many would appreciate the classical jazz, sang by many good' o artists. At least it have some  'real music' quantity unlike some modern musics these days.

Kind of mixed, looking at Christmas Trees make me feel good. Even my life suck, Christmas being like magic in me and good to have some days off from work like Christmas Day & Boxing Day (In Uk & Canada). I'm little bother about in the house, sometimes there be some hard time.

I like christmas and I am also excited, but mostly because I get two free weeks. I am exhausted at the moment from all the university stuff and need free days. SO you see, I am more excited to have two free weeks instead of christmas (or new year, what is also one of my favorite holidays).

Sure.

Particularly the pre christmas party of the company where i work.  The half is drunk and the other half play games and make photos (especially from the drunks) where everyone wanna die of shame next day.

And then the real party with the family, that is more quiet and cozy.

Yep! I love Christmas, always have since I was a kid. There's just something about this time of year that makes me cheerful, even despite the harsh winter weather. The decorations, the pleasant atmosphere, time spent together with family, drinking eggnog until you puke...

My only complaint is how more and more commercial Christmas becomes every year, with every increasing commercial implying that the sole purpose of Christmas is the gifts and that you better buy the right one or the receiver will hate you. How cynical, and this is coming from a pessimist like me.

Nah not really, never have been  . We celebrate a day (or two like me) and we just go on with our lives afterwards :P .

Few people appreciate Christmas for what it is, if not at least acknowledge it  .

Absolutely! Christmas is my favorite holiday and I start looking forward to it in November. I really like giving gifts and Christmas cards even though I'm not very good at wrapping gifts. The atmosphere around Christmas is really sweet and calming too. :rarityhat:

I don't like being the Grinch, but it's probably my least favorite. I don't like the whole "gifts" thing, and all the socializing.

Same here. Buying the right gifts is an exhausting task for me. I don’t understand, why I just can‘t ask the people what they want. :okiedokieloki:

Besides that, dinner with family is the good part of it.

I'm not really that excited unlike my in childhood where i'm so excited that i swear Pinkie would pop out and give me a celebration party. This year? i'm only excited for chirstmas is that because my dad is coming home. I already had a bunch problems popping out already which made me think that christmas is distant from me this year, if dad doesn't come home, then i'm officially ‘dead’ (not literally) this christmas.

Christmas (December) I have to say is the only time I’m constantly happy. 25 days of out of character without feeling melancholic is great. :nom:

Until of course when the holiday is over, all that melancholy comes back 25x more. :maud:
