Well, I study animation, so... animating is biggie for me, along with visual art in general, specifically character design and illustration. I enjoy Storyboarding too, though it can get tedious and a bit boring after a while. I also love story development, narrative and writing.

 

My other little passion is music. I listen to music almost constantly, whether it's Metal, Electronic, Classical, Rock, Dark Wave, Folk, Shoegaze, or any other genre I like. I never leave my house without my Walkman. I also really enjoy writing and recording music, though it's hard for me to find the time to do this.

 

I really like reading, I love cartoons, and I enjoy film (both animated and live-action).

I like to build computers whenever I have spare parts, I'm almost always on a computer of some kind because I've been (regrettably) playing MapleStory for the past six years. I love video games of any type, though my main favorites are FPSes, RPGs, and Racing games. I listen to almost every genre of music (including rap every now and then), though there's a special place in my heart for Metal, Hardstyle, Techno of any kind, and...DnB.

 

My current music obsession right now is Nightcore though so... ^^;

I like to play Yu-gi-oh. I've got a small but decent collection of cards that I hope keeps growing. It's an on and off hobby, just like most, but it's a good time waster. Some of my other friends are into it so sometimes I'll invite them over and we'll duel! I used to go to a place called "Mayhem Comics" where a "Yu-gi-oh" night would be hosted. You go there, meet new people, duel, trade. It was all sorts of fun, but I've kind of drifted from it. Maybe some day I'll go back there and see who's still around.

For long time I thougt that I have got no hobbies at all, but one friend told me just few days ago - "All you love to do and doing it, are your hobby", so now I know that I have got hobbies

 

1. Bicycle, realy love riding them, and tries to do it as often as I can.

 

2. Swiming, do not now if it's hobby, but I like it, and doing it twice a week - it's helps me to relax and think.

 

3. Board games, I realy dig them, all sorts of games, Agricola, Caylus, Mafia, Settlers, Twi..... Almost all of them

 

4. Reading, should it be explained?

 

5. Traveling, do not know if it's can be called hobby, but I realy love to see how different people in different countries lives. (Number of countries I was in are already more then 20, in 3 days I will be in Bulgaria, and in 3 months if everything will be OK in US.) And it's good to travel at bicycle - thats at least 20% cooler

I bake and plan to open a bakery when I'm older (but no, mother wants me to become an engineer or pharmacist -.-) Recently I baked amazing honeybell muffins (a honeybell is a cross between an orange and a tangerine and is only available in January). I put honey on top because they were originally cupcakes but we didn't have frosting or powdered sugar so I couldn't even make frosting. The honey made them 20% yummier. Not giving away the recipe. (Edit: Oh, by the way, I kind of created the recipe. I started with a vanilla cupcake one I found on the internet.)

 

I also sing. I'm in choir and am quite good if I do say so myself   

 

Oh, and I draw, but I don't take art class or anything. I just draw on my notes in school. I have a couple of my drawings on deviantart and the Fan Art section of these forums...

I enjoy cooking food at my home making healthy food or yummy treats. I love to read & write poetry from time to time. There's also playing video games and archery, Swimming is great too. I like to draw stick figures as well xD [because I'm horrible at drawing.]

I'll describe some of my favorites.

"Outside" is one of my most recent pieces, and my most mature undertaking ever, imo. It explores what the definition of "Outside" is, musically. I believe writing this stretched my musical understanding significantly.

"Tag with Tux" is a fun jazzy thing. Tux is the name of the mascot for Linux.

"Peace with the Cranes" is a cute something I wrote for my girlfriend. Origami cranes are a large part of who she is.

"Fertile Gate" Is a very polished-sounding jazz-funk piece I made recently. I've been trying to collaborate with anyone to actually perform this, so I can have just ONE "real" song. You can hear me play all the voices on bass on "Fertile Gate Bass Voiced w Drum." I had some latency during the recording, so the parts are a bit off now and then.

You probably notice that I converted some of them into 8-bit, just for fun.

I play video games, listen to music and watch MLP or one of the handful of anime series I really enjoy. I'm saving up for some new instruments and recording equipment so I can start composing and recording music, which will probably become my main hobby. I mostly play my 5 string bass, but I can also play keyboards (unfortunately my keyboard died on me a few months back), flute, recorder (I used to play it well enough to go touring in concerts as lead player) as well as a little guitar and before my health went downhill I used to play some drums as well. If you hand me any instrument, I can pick up the basics very quickly. I also sing from time to time when no one is home.
