Yeah, it kind of does, and it has happened a lot. With a name like Bryce having another common spelling in Brice, it can get rather annoying if someone spells my name with an "i" instead of a "y" like it should be.

Oh, and it's also a little annoying when some of you guys type something like "SSB64" instead of "SBB64" when talking about me, just saying. :P

At work it does since there are two other people with my name, but a different spelling. I tend to let it slide though.

I have had someone spell my last name wrong even though I spelled it for them. That takes "skill".

I DESPISE when someone can't pronounce my name. It just makes me sad. sad.png

I hate it when people spell my name wrong. Too often people will have "Lilly" or "Lili" when, in actuality, my name is "Lillie." I mean, come on, it is not that difficult to remember and seriously, do I look like a "Lily" to you? A lily is a flower, I am most certainly a person, or alternatively, a butterfly dreaming of human.

Meh, I'm used to it. People always replace the "K" in my name with a "C" because that's the way it sounds. Though I've been called multiple names... Kaitlyn, Katherine, Catalina, Katie, COUNTLESS names. I sometimes even trick the person a little and pretend that's my actual name happy.png

My first name, Dimitri, is not spelled in the conventional fashion of "Dmitry" like normal.

My parents wanted to change it up I guess. People always spell my name wrong, and I don't get mad or anything because most people think it's spelled the original way. Is a little annoying after a while, but I've gotten used to it a little bit.

I'm just happy my close friends always get it correct. As long as they get it I'm happy enough :P

I've only had someone misspell my last name once it was on a magazine I'd get in the mail. They spelled my last name with an S instead of an O. I don't know how you mess that up. :P

Yes. It happens surprisingly often. Whenever someone misspells my name, I facepalm. There's only four letters.

My name is Noah. For some reason, everyone spells it Noha or Noa or Nhoah or Nowa.

Seriously?

It bugs me a little. I go by DJ but most people like to add dots to my name which isn't too big of a deal, until I went order my uniform and now my uniform shirt says D.J. What really bugs me is when people misspell my real name. It's Darrel with one L, but everyone knows better than I do and adds a second L. I don't get too worked up usually, but when I write it out and people still mess it up is when I get irritated. (I.E. I filled out my app for my CCW and the sheriff's deputy put 2 Ls on my name so I had to deal with that headache.)

My first name, I mind quite a bit. my first name is really simple, short and is even the common spelling!

As for my last name, I really don't mind, I had a killer time trying to memorize how to spell my last name in grade 1. It has a few silent letters in it that are worth quite a few points in scrabble. Telemarketers also seem to murder the pronunciation. when I get a phone call, I judge whether to hang up or listen for a bit based on whether the caller can pronounce my last name without biting their tongue.

It used to bother me when I was younger, but it doesn't anymore. If anything, it bothers me more when they pronounce it incorrectly. My last name is Delcambre, but people pronounce it "Delcambry" when it is actually pronounced Delcome.

For the most part, no. I typically find it varying level of funny depending on the mistake.

However, whenever someone calls me Kloop? I quite dislike that for some reason. It's been a common typo that has occured ever since I created this username 13 or so years ago. Whenever someone makes this mistake, I have the urge to whip out a frying pan and smack @@FLARE,  over the head with it. (There are probably only 15 or so people here who might understand that.)

Drives me pretty damn crazy sometimes. I don't care so much about my real name as it is such a common name that anyone SHOULD be able to spell. (Though one time, I've had somebody who was supposedly more qualified for a higher level job than myself, AKA my supervisor, spell it as "Angila." That one I laughed at. It's Angela, by the way.)

As for Arylett, that's one that really gets me. Some of the misspellings I've seen are ridiculous. Like Arlyett. I've had a person who did that consistently. Not a one time typo or anything. They just thought that was my name. And then another one who kept calling me Arylette. I'm just wondering where that random "e" came from. :P

Yes it does! I mean, is it so hard to write Luriel or Lurry? Or Lur atleast? No, kids misread my name or write it horribly wrong... Loreal, Lureil, Lauriel..oh God why..is my name so hard to say? It only has 6 letters it's not like DarklordterrxustheVII. It drives me crazy!! And worst part...kids from other school make that "mistake" as they say it, all the time...heck Luriel is not even my real name, yet they call me that. I have different nick names
Luriel
Lurry
Lurro
Lur
Luri
All of them are pretty much Luriel. But Lureil or Lauriel just pisses me off so much...

It doesn't bother me too much, but it does make me laugh at how dumb they are. :P My names Lauren, which I understand can be a bit confusing, but whenever someone misspells it, it's spelt ridiculously. I remember someone thinking it was spelt Loron. :P

I get irritated when people spell ANYTHING incorrectly. My names Kevin, not Keven (people, people, people, learn to spell.) Proof of why the United States really has a low IQ in comparison to the rest of the world.
