First off: Thanks for the comments and such. You all already pointed out so many things that I'll just keep it down to the, for me, most intriguing ones here.

I have no idea what that's supposed to mean, but it could also refer to something that you wouldn't expect to be thematized in the show at all. Maybe death, or another subject that usually is pretty difficult to handle in a cartoon.

My pacing sense tingles. Hopefully they handle it. But maybe the single episodes will have a stronger connection between them. We will see.

 

I'm still pretty excited - maybe not as much as yesterday - and right now I wish I could fall into sleep ad wake up the day season 4 finally airs because I don't want to just speculate for months. Waiting ain't that easy for something like this.

I liked the preview. My favorite parts were the song, the superheroes part, and the Twilight going to the past on accident part. I think something with the Elements of Harmony being corrupted by another villain sent her into the past. I think the "episodes as movies" means the show will be extended to hour long episodes.

If you look closely at the bottom right of the animatics for Season 4 of MLP:FiM, you'll notice that there are some numbers present. There are a total of 4 animatics. Each animatic has a starting number of 4 which could mean season 4 and the numbers after that would mean the episode, for e.g, the first animatic has number 405 meaning episode 5, the spike one is 406(episode 6), the apple family one is 409(episode 9) & the NightmareMoon one is 401(episode 1).

Good catch and that would make sense. If true it means that the NMM story will be part of the season opener and tie into the MMC arc.

I highly doubt that Luna is going to be evil I agree with Chaotic Discord on this one. I feel it's just a flash back in Luna's/Celestia's past with Twilight being in Celestia's place when Luna first transformed into NNM. So not to worry guys Luna will be still awesome .

@, I doubt that they will make hour-long episodes. Maybe several two parters. Of course, you can be right, but if they really make them so long, it won't be easy. 26 episodes, 1 hour or at least 45 minutes each, would require an extremely high amount of work.

Season 4 is confirmed to have 26 episodes. Which I agree is waaay better than 13.

 

Season 3 only had 13 episodes because the plan for cartoons is to assume that they will be done after 65 episodes for syndication purposes so that they can make tons of money for the cartoon without making more episodes. However, because of how popular MLP is, they decided that more money could be made if they made more awesome episodes of the show. Yay!

 

I wish that season 3 could have been longer, though. It would have been able to do more episodes and MMC could have been a 2-partner but oh well.

 

I rewatched the Apple Family song earlier and it is just so musically well-done. Can't wait to see it fully animated.

 

I agree with what people are saying about NMM and Twilight being in a flashback. The second time I saw it, it made so much more sense that way.

I really do not think that NMM is returning. If you watch the clip again, notice that Luna says that everyone is basking in Twilight's light, which doesn't make sense. Added onto the fact that Twilight says, "Why did you and Celestia disappear?" And don't forget that she was teleported to a strange place that Twilight had never seen before - most likely the ancient castle in the Everfree Forest.

 

It also doesn't make much sense for Luna to have gotten jealous again out of the blue... I mean I know that there are some theories out there saying that Luna is just waiting to return as NMM, but I don't really buy that theory because the Elements of Harmony are as strong as ever, and if they were able to defeat NMM in the first place then she wouldn't still be evil would she?

I just watched the AnY Pony's video about this and it surprised me. He basically said that people should not post spoilers where they can be easily seen, out in the open, etc. He is one of those people that loves to see things like this without knowing any info. That is perfectly fine, but I wonder, how can anypony do that at this point? It is kinda interesting though because AnY made a video about both Equestria Girls trailers after watching them, so, huh. It is a little disappointing, I would have loved to hear his opinion on it all.

 

My point? I am unsure how he has such strength. This may end being the most posted in thread by me (that wasn't started by me). All of this is making me feel very happy and...Broken record. The best kind of broken record though.

Whew! I had to wait a day to absorb all of the awesome stuff from that sneak peak. Where do I even begin?

 

Flightless Scootaloo is official, and I could not be more excited. Little Scoots looks to be in for another amazing episode. I'm glad they're going to be doing something with the Equestria Games, even though it might not involve the Mane Six, but the CMC instead.

 

Superhero Ponies? I always wondered if they'd do an episode like this, and it looks like it's happening! I can't wait to see what the Mane Six will look like in their hero outfits. And of course, I want to know what powers they will have. You can bet there's going to be a boatload of references to comic book heroes.

 

And my favorite part? THAT. SONG. I'm not gonna lie, I loved Raise This Barn. It's one of my top five favorite MLP songs in the whole series. But this new song? It completely blows it out of the water. I cannot wait to see the song fully animated and with high quality sound. We're finally getting a Pinkie Pie and Applejack centric episode, which has been long overdue. These two are absolute gold whenever they're together, so this is going to be a treat for sure. :3

I don't know where to begin, there was so much awesome stuff in that preview.

 

Not too sad about Babs being gone; she was an OK character but didn't add much to the show. Hopefully the statement that they think of all the episodes as movies means better storylines with more at stake, not that we'll have 90 minutes of story crammed into every 25-minute episode. xD

 

Now the video. I'm on the fence about the 'Power Ponies' thing, sounds like an idea they got from a FIMfiction crossover. But everything else, wow! Flightless Scootaloo will not only be canon, we may have an episode devoted to the concept. It looks like they'll sew it up with Scootaloo finally learning to fly, possibly thanks to Dash, rather than the handicap angle. But we'll see. (And yay, Mrs. Harshwhinny is back!)

 

"Apples to the Core" is one of the best songs they've ever done, even with just a storyboard to illustrate it. It looks like we've got Pinkie Pie running with the Apples. A possible AJ/Pinkie bonding episode? I'm all over that because the two of them don't really talk and I always wanted to see them do something together.

 

The best thing of all may be Nightmare Moon coming back. I hope they don't limit the idea to a dream sequence. I WANT Luna to turn back into Nightmare Moon. Something desperately needs to happen with her, and if it comes directly as a result of Twi's promotion, at least we'll get something out of that whole deal. I hope it's the season premiere and not the finale if that's the case. Who knows, maybe instead of the typical brief rise and defeat all the villains get, NM will start her own kingdom and be a season-length antagonist to form an overall story arc. I can dream!

What a cute Apple family song! I actually didn't mind the Raise the Barn song so much but this one feels like the smile song on a smaller scale. It makes me smile and it will be a song that I'll likely listen to just as much.
