So school for me starts in two weeks and I feel a mixture of both eagerness and anxiety. I'm eager because it's a new a year and I'm starting fresh and because last year was better than expected. I actually made a few friends and I was pretty happy, and I'm hoping this year will be better. I'm anxious because most (almost all) of my friends are at a different school now, and because I'm awful at making friends. So I'm kinda worried about becoming a loner, again... And about not passing classes.

So how about you?

Well I guess College still counts as school. I'm semi nervous about it really. Being thrown into an entirely new environment should be interesting, especially having to live with a roommate. Not too concerned about classes, shouldn't be too bad, only have 14 credit hours this first semester. Depression is definitely something I'm going to have to watch out for, but then again I don't think it will be a problem. I'm kind of iffy in the making friends department, we shall see how that goes.

Its going to be a strange new semester for. I will be a half time student, I been a full time student for six years (yay college transfer bs!). I will also have a new job which I found out today will having me preparing rather gourmet food. My time is going to be stretched like butter over large slices of bread, but I'm okay with this. I getting really tired of being a student, but I know it will be finished soon. I just hope the transition out of being a student is gentle.

I really feel indifferent towards school. It's just that thing during the day that interrupts my usual late night activites internet time. :V School years just blow by for me anyway, so I don't feel much apprehension for the upcoming  one.

I'm going into 11th grade, I have mixed emotions about it. I'm sad about summer coming to an end, as I'll have less free time to just do whatever I want to do. However, I'm happy about being able to see my friends more regularly again, and about finally being able to take two classes I've been looking forward to for awhile: AP Calculus AB and AP Statistics. I love math, so these classes are going to be a lot of fun for me.

I'm also nervous about the academic challenges. I'm taking a far more balanced and sane course load than I took in 10th grade, but some of my classes are still going to be pretty hard. I need to make sure to manage my time better this year to avoid the repeating the mistakes I made last year.

As for my schedule, it's actually exactly what I want it to be. I don't have to request that any changes be made to it. I even have AP Calc first hour, and my study hall after both of my math classes, without having to ask for it.

My schedule for the first semester is the following:

1. AP Calculus AB

2. Game Design & Computer Programming Basics

3. AP Statistics

4. Study Hall

5. Chemistry

6. Advanced American Literature/Composition

7. US History I

My schedule for the second semester is virtually the same, but with some minor changes:

1. AP Calculus AB

2. US History II

3. AP Statistics

4. Study Hall

5. Chemistry

6. Advanced American Literature/Composition

7. Webpage Design Basics

I'm currently aiming to major in mathematics once I reach college. I feel that I'll be sufficiently prepared for that by taking these two classes this year, and then AP Calculus BC in 12th grade.

Economics, Business and Information Technology. Bigger syllabi, more work and less games.

Who am I kidding. I'm gonna be playing as much games as I always do.

This year though, I intend to fix a mistake that I've made throughout my years in highschool, that has caused me to take on a major loss in my education.

That's right...

I will listen in class...

Well I don't go to school anymore nope I got work, yay!

Anyway I know that feeling, everyday you are getting closer to having to get up at like 6am and be out the door by 7am to get on a bus that is full... and there is no room for you so you got to try and find room next to kids you have never seen, then get to school try and find your friends just to talk with them for like 3mins then go to class with a lot of kids you don't know! and a teacher that could be a hard ass!

BUT! there is some good! You make friends! yes its hard I know for a long time I was a ghost at all my schools, no one wanted to talk to me everyone was to scared to, its funny right? scared to death of a candy ass like me! Anyway you are going to make friends! its not that hard! try and find someone that is alone and say "Hello My name is (your name here), and ask for their name and well go from there!

That's how I made friends at my work! now I know everyone I work with! Just got to believe in you're self that's all!

You can do anything you want in life! as long as you believe in your self!

I'll be going into my sophomore year in college once school starts up this fall. I'm kind of loathing school to start, since there's going to be a crapload of homework and tests and all that. Summer has put me in a lethargic state, and it's going to be hard to get back into diligent student mode. My schedule isn't looking too bad, but I wasn't able to get one of the classes I need, so hopefully I get that.

On the bright side, the beginning of a new year of school can be exciting, due to having a new schedule and new classmates and whatnot. I wonder if I'm going to make a lot of new friends in my classes. I don't really mind being a loner, but if an opportunity to make good friends comes up, I'll be sure to take it. I'm also looking forward to seeing how good my teachers are going to be, as well as the material I'm going to learn in my classes. I really loved my English professor last semester, and I'm hoping my future teachers turn out to be just as good or better.

So yeah, I guess my feelings are pretty mixed. School can be difficult, but it can also be enjoyable at the same time. My first year in college was a pretty good experience overall, but I'm hoping that this coming year will be an even better one.

Do you like Ponies? Do you like Science?  Of course you do!

So why not put your computer's unused computing power to aid researchers in fighting diseases?

"But my computer isn't good enough for science!" Of course it is, any computer or laptop can run the program.

Oh man, I sorta Watamoted it in 8th grade, except worse. I didn't have any friends, I got picked on a lot and I was "plotting stuff" (like Columbine stuff :/). Actually, I've pretty much Watamoted my summer vacation. I've spent 99.9% of it indoors and on the internet. I haven't talked to any non-family members since mid June LOL. I'm fine with not having any friends, as long as I don't get picked on or slip into depression. That's why I've been happy all summer even though I don't have any friends to hang out with.

Mine starts in 26 days, at least....well, I need to get my shots and sort in order before school starts. I have so much to do in the next 26 days, its kind of scary to say the least.

I'm being forced to get shots, I'm not happy. (I'm not a dart board! I'm a chicken! )

I need to get my stuff in order. Being in 11th this year, I need:

To get two doctors appointments (eye doctor and reg)

School Supplies earlier this year (I'm drawing on my supplies, yay~)

My Schedule in order so I can get the classes I want.

Not only this, but Clothes and more uh, fabulous things need to be cleared up. (What? I need my hair done too!)

That and my uniform. ^^"" I'm prioritizing things and events.

So far, I'm excited and not so much. The week before, I'm going to see City of Bones in theaters~ On top of that, I'm just afraid of what may happen. This girl bucking pissed me off...(You had all this space, you didn't need to shove me, bitch)

I feel awful about it. I never enjoyed any other year of school, so I don't possibly see how I will enjoy this one. Especially since people from my high school will be attending the college I'm at this year. If I'm lucky, I will be fine. If I'm not, then there goes my wonderful mood. I sincerely hope all of those scoundrels stay away from me. I just know this school year will be terrible... :(

Gonna be interesting! The next year in my school will be spent to work in a company. I applied as a web programmer. I can meet some people with the same interest in programming. It's a vocational school with four years program. I'm in the fourth year. I have to get at least a half year of working experience before I can officially finish my study there. Pretty neat system 'eh? I can get some money for myself.

I did. My recent life is just like Tomoko's. I get so few hours of sleep lately, because I have some books to study since I want to show my skill to that company I'm going to be apprentice on, so you know how do I look like now. Few nights ago I met an nerdy old friend from the junior high. I asked him what he was doing there. He said he was out eating with a friend. When I asked which one his friend is, he pointed at a girl.

I'm kinda nervous about it to be honest. I'm going into 11th grade and I'm gonna be taking three AP classes, and I could barely handle two last year. I still need to get my driver's license and try to find a part time job in the next month. I'm dreading the thought of waking up at 6 AM regularly again starting in 3 weeks but I'm also excited to see my friends again on a daily basis and meet new people. It's gonna be a tough year for me, but I still intend to make it a great one.

They always decide to get in fights with me for some reason ...

Guess being cautious about other students keeps it somewhat tolerable ...

I think I'm actually gonna try this time really

I don't know... Things did not go quite as planned last semester, and ive changed my mind a lot on what i want to do, so going back to school this year requires sacrifices. That is going to a university in another state to get to study what I really would like to now (music history), or go to the same university I did last year and find something else. And I have way too little time to decide. =(

I want to go back, but at the same time I don't want to go back, just like some others here.

At my house, I don't do much of anything. I stay up till 3-4 AM, sleep till 1 PM. I eat, I sit on my computer while having shit internet, occasionally do chores, and watch Jeopardy with my mom sometimes. Twice a week I raid in WoW. The cycle repeats. While I feel like a bum, I am so much more relaxed than I ever have been. No work, no job, no nothing. I feel like a scumbag sometimes, but I really will miss this summer in 5 weeks from Tuesday.

Then, I go back to college, with the following schedule:

Biochemistry I

Inorganic Chemistry

Sensation and Perception

Vector Calculus (AKA Calculus III)

The most jarring thing with this is going to be waking up at 7 AM for Inorganic. Considering my current sleep schedule, I'm going to be very upset for about a week. Last semester was also a nightmare, but I only have two labs next semester instead of three. Though, I am expecting a modicum of group work in S&P, but one of my roommates in my townhouse is  going to be taking that class with me, so that'll be mitigated quite a bit. The only "might not be fun" class would be Biochem, but I might be pleasantly surprised, since I'm overall interested in synthesis and the like, which involves creating synthetic replicas of chemicals found in nature, or building upon already existing chemicals and how you can mess with them.

For example, bromination and chlorination of aromatic rings is easy to do, but trying to add fluorine would result in an explosion, and iodine would be too "fat," as it were, to attach itself. A synthesis guy would be like, "How would I get those damn iodines or fluorines on there without killing myself in the process? What could I then do with these halides to influence my other reactions in ways that I couldn't before?"

However, going back involves getting back together with all my buds and stuff, while also having good internet, which means I can watch any videos I want, not disconnect while playing League or WoW, all while not being charged for using it too much.

So yeah, boring and relaxing vs. fun and stressful. It's definitely a step up from high school, where there was no redeeming factor for going back to school. I absolutely tortured myself junior and senior year. 4 AP classes in the former, and 6 of them (all of them) in the latter.

I'm also nervous about the academic challenges. I'm taking a far more balanced and sane course load than I took in 10th grade, but some of my classes are still going to be pretty hard. I need to make sure to manage my time better this year to avoid the repeating the mistakes I made last year.

COWARD

Just kidding. You'll be fine. Honors chemistry is pretty easy, as is AP calculus. I actually took AB-BC all in senior year, but it was not flagged as such. I never took statistics, since I find the little I've been exposed to incredibly droll and annoying. Game design will likely be the dick around class, and study hall is an incredible boon as well. That's likely how I was able to survive senior year. US History is much easier than World History, because it's only 400 years or so that you need to know, as opposed to 3000 years everywhere. Lit's gonna suck, but hey, I hate English (my AP composition class probably taught me how to write, though, so no qualms there), so I'm probably biased.

I'm going to trade school next year, so I'm taking the opportunity to upgrade my science courses this year. Can't wait, it'll be like I'm back in high school again, complete with arriving late in the mornings, sleeping through lectures and completely skipping Fridays. Also, always make sure you sit in either the very last, or next to last row, by the window. Roofs are the best places to eat lunch and never pay attention when quickly rounding a corner (you might just bump into a girl and fall on her awkwardly, thus setting off the first flag for her route).

All these posts make me terrified for my high school and (hopefully) college years to come. I kinda took last year with a grain of salt and ended up with the worst grades I've ever gotten. I actually do have to step it up this year because most of my classes are high school credit now. Honestly what scares me the most is I don't even know where I'll be going to school. I barely had about two or three good friends since 1st grade, the rest of the friends I made turned into jerks, or porn watching weirdos, in the 6th freaking grade... I don't even expect to make any friends, unless some miracle guy/gal comes up to me and talks about pokemon/ponies/league and we hit it off. I really just need to focus on actually doing good this year.

Man, I'm so nervous.

- I'm taking part in the French exchange, which I don't really want to do.

- I have to take my options. Basically, I choose the subjects that I want to take for my GCSEs. I have no idea what to choose.

- I don't really have any friends.

:(

I do online schooling, so I already started the 9th grade early. I don't have to put up with annoying, bratty little kids either. So, I'm pretty relaxed about it, as you would imagine.

School starts in less then a week for me. I'm both dreading it and looking forward to it. Dreading because, well, it's school. Looking forward to, becuase I want to have more social interaction, and make non-online friends.

Y'know, I've been on this site for almost ten years and I've never had a proper signature. Ain't that something?
