I personally usually start sleeping on my side then end up sleeping on my front in the mornings. I never fall asleep immediately and it takes about 30 minutes and I can't sleep without laying down. I need to be laying down in order to fall asleep. So I can't fall asleep on a plane or car

What about you guys?

Let's just say, Im somewhat like Godzilla, as a heavy sleeper.   Disturb my beauty sleep, and you'll witness my rage.

I sleep on my side. I go to bed laying on my right side and I usually wake up on the left. I don't mind sleeping on my back either. It also usually takes several hours for me to actually get asleep, and I have to listen to music beforehand or I will never get to sleep.

If it's cold in my room and I'm bundled up in my blankets like a cocoon then I sleep really well. If it's really hot in my room I can't sleep at all, I toss and turn and can't get comfortable.

Also noise and light doesn't affect me, unless it is my alarm clock, it has an annoying buzzer on it.

I can sleep through most things, to be perfectly honest. I slept through five phone calls at one point, and my phone was on a pretty high setting.

What position do you sleep in?

Any really... I first start on my back when I'm awake. Soon I turn on my side if I'm still awake.

How do you fall asleep?

Takes me a bit to fall asleep.

I move around A LOT in my sleep. Sometimes I'll wake up in a completely different direction than what I went to bed with. I also tend to sleep with my head under the covers over my head. Other than that, I don't snore. I'm really a silent sleeper.

Unless I'm really tired, it takes me anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to fall asleep. And I sleep in whatever position I feel like.

I'm a side sleeper, I always sleep on my left side facing towards a wall.

As for how long it takes me to get to sleep, it's pretty darn quick. As soon as all distractions are gone, my head hits the pillow and my favourite stuffed animal is in hand, I'm gone. It's also a pretty heavy sleep, it takes a good alarm to get me up in the morning. It's been set to a loud yodelling song ever since my regular one failed to wake me.

Takes probably an hour and a half to get to sleep, and for some reason I only do go to sleep if I'm on my front on top of crossed arms. I've learned to resist audible alarms, so I've stuffed my phone in my pillowcase and set it to vibrate.

I am a heavy sleeper, though occasionally I sleepwalk and/or sleeptalk...not often, though. I have slept through transformers exploding on telephone poles outside my house during lightning storms, crashing thunder, loud music, construction equipment noises, gunfire, and once, I am proud to say, a mild earthquake in upstate New York, which was not significant but was nonetheless noticeable enough to wake up everyone else in the building I was sleeping in.

I have fallen asleep, and stayed asleep, in a variety of positions. Sitting, standing and leaning against walls, lying on hard, flat surfaces (concrete, tile, hardwood floors), in the backseat of moving cars on rough terrain...

My point is, I can sleep, and have slept, through pretty much any movement or noise the world can throw at me. I love sleep, and I am great at it. I don't really like getting up, but I don't generally give anyone too much of a hard time when they wake me unless it is for a dumb reason. If you wake me up for a stupid reason (I once had a stranger wake me on an interstate bus trip to ask how I could sleep through the noise on the bus), I become...

As a college student, this "sleep" word is foreign to me....what is it?

I sleep on my stomach. I literally get headaches if I try to sleep on my back. It usually takes me at least an hour to fall asleep, more during the summer.

I'm definitely a side sleeper, I have problems with my hips, so I sleep on whichever side isn't hurting at night. I can not, whatso ever,  fall asleep without my husky plush or something equivalent if I don't have it. I'm also a VERY light sleeper which.. REALLY sucks when you have a cuddle buddy. Oh, you're getting up to take a wizz? Now I'm stuck being awake for the next two hours.

My good friend can fall asleep, anywhere, any time, in the blink of an eye. And i am horribly jealous.

We were hanging out on my couch, and he was resting his head on my KNEEE in a very uncomfortable way and BOOM. Out like a light because he was laying down >:(
