Denz bought me the Brushie Tempest and Twilight set, but ive just paid for one of these!!!! =D

1. Tempest is an amazing character despite being a bad OC design template. 2. I read the movie art book first and adore the hippogriff stuff, but Im happy that the "gate" to Seaquestria was the best deisgn that was featured in the book. 3. After 2 viewings, the animation is actually rather good, bit naff in place, i still hate how the mane 6's faces look, but the movements and expressions Twi and Tempest are stellar

hands down Tempest. I resented her original design reveal but edgey mc edgehorse is the bad OC 101. but I love her after seeing the movie. Shes got the Furiosa personality (Mad Max) who is one of my fave fictional characters ever. She gets the best song in the movie too. Im just drawn by the way she's animated, he looks much more horsey than the others, kinda like my own art style, and i love how much you see her teeth. Its all about the character design and personality here. I also really liked Capper and Novo. Novo just couldnt give a buck lol. I love her for that.

Tirek is a real monster and desires power all the time. Storm King is more like an idiot who was told about magic, but doenst know what to do with it so just puts himself in power for a laugh. Tempest was the one who told him about the staff and Equestria in the first place, the guy was clueless.

i get the feeling that unicorn villages are the worst places to grow up. if there were earth ponies living there then Tempest would at least have some friends to play with as they cant magic by default.

just wnat to say I absolutly adore that one of Tombstone! Got a weakness for walk cycles. Heck I attempted to do hand drawn and puppet rigs myself - personally I favour the hand drawn one, it was easier ( for me) to understand and work at it than to fiddle around with rigs and functions on the other. My sister animates in her spare time and has done a mix of both, but I think she uses the puppet rigs a bit more for the MLP work.

pretty much how I speak and often type anyway - just without the countryisms and the American accent. My hometown is the County town of Somerset, which is pretty much farmer cider country here in the UK. When I feel lazy I drop into the accent and direlect, which is very similar to AJ's way of speaking.

cant say I remember ever feeling nervous at a con. Ive been to so many in general its just a normal thing. I suppose the only nerves I ever got were singing in front of strangers and the first few hours of nervously smiling and greeting people at my table not knowing if they like my art or not. Im pretty conifdent in person now though. Heck I want to be performing.

personally I would see it as a disaster. There would be power struggles right off the bat over who covers what and fights over ownership of fan fave ponies. Not to mention copyright wars with people who hate eachother, the drama would just escalate. No one wnats to see that fallout really. I think id be driven away from the fandom entirely if it went in that direction.

true theres lots of unrealistic (for equestria that is) over the top OCs. Honestly i think its because majority who create an OC are younglings - younglings are more prone to mood swings and the teen attitude of "the world hates me and i hate everyone" (come oooon we've all been there) so you see a lot of black like my soul type edgy OCs in attempt to be cool and "dark", because darker stuff is more appealing to a lot of kids who think they are rebellious. Or theres the another type to create alicorns, which I kinda see more as a power struggle to get attnetion by attempting to be OP and unique, but really isnt. Then you sadly get a lot of neon colour clashing by the uncreative types - again trying to be unique and attention seeking but in a way that they do not understand colours or deisgn aesthetics. Bright Yellow with glaring bright red manes and tails is actually horrible to the eyes x.x put some accents in that deisgn. Not having a go at those with these OC types, Im an artist who always wnated to go into character design as a job, plus I was an angsty goth wannabe teen as well as being the attention hog of a fandom (long time ago that was). Ive bene there done that and got the tshirt, but learnt a lot from those mistakes I made.
