My cat is named Smartie, after the sweets, because he has a white dot on the middle of his forehead against his black coat :P I was only 6 at the time

Well it's not necessarily weird but my snake is named 'Dusk'. I settled on that name because of his nice red/orange colour like the sunset. However I'm pretty sure I might have gotten the definition and colour of dusk completely wrong.

I am an experienced cook, musician and care worker though, so that's something.

I named my last dog Hulk until I just started calling him Dog. I got too lazy to call him by his name so yeah...

"I could have been happy above if I'd never donned the copper carapace and dipped my head beneath the waves to hear the muddled man-made sounds. Distorted and dreamlike droning. The whir and thrashing of a distant propeller, the tumultuous thundering thud of fogbound freighters. Mud underfoot, no sights, except the grasp of a diver's trained hand, dreaming of distant lands knowing all the while this is what I love, not the blue skies and wondering faces above. Canvas, rubber, brass, copper, and glass. Leather and lead, mud and sweat, heaving around in dark, damp depths seldom seen by most yet talked about by all. As if a sunny, happy place where mermaids and seahorses play and chests of gold are lain bare, untarnished by salt and time for all to grasp who are bold enough to go below..." -"Deep Sea Diver", Steven L. Waterman

  • 1 year later...

Had a Lil' tan puppy I named Teribus the Cursed.

Named him after a bone dragon from Warcraft.

Only got that name past my Mother because I lied & said I meant it like a "Terry cloth, you know?"

He was the runt of the litter in spite of his sister being smaller on account of having more chihuahua blood in her.

Second he was born his mother just dropped him in the middle of the garage floor & abandoned him.

Was an adventurous Lil pup, perhaps too much, as he got too curious and drowned in the pool.

So....uhm....yeah....think the name fitted....

So now, whenever I wander into that one area of Warcraft, hear that deep, bony, rattleroar I tear up a little every time.

...which is kind of an odd sequence of events, innit?

Beatings & Salivations Everybeing!   Creativity is something blatantly important to me as is no doubt evidenced by the 28 OCs I have posted here of the some forty plus I have, they're linked altogether at the bottom of my About Me page in my Profile & I would deeply cherish anything you wish to say about them! Among which of those I am proudest most of is my Draconequusona, His/My Ask Thread  and my Hydra, Gallimaufry or "Mauf" and their own Ask Thread!  Either way, sufficed to say, I am quite confident I have more OCs than you! Crazier to! Do You have a tatzelpony?! No, I rather think you don't! Hew-Hew-hew!

My mom got me a cat when I was a kid. This was a bad idea, as we also had a pit bull named Lady. She reacted in the way that you would expect. Cat was having none of it and beat the shit out of her using hit and run tactics until Lady accepted the fact that the cat was here to stay.

His name is Kratos, and he's awesome.

Boo. That's my cat's name.

I'm thinking of getting a dog and name it after a supercar. Hmm, how about MP4-12C? No?

Viper?

Veneno?

GT?

Nah.

Baldur the Good, Nidhoggr, Pantalaimon, Gunmetal, Fritz (the Cat), Minuet (Minnie)...  Most of the names I've given pets are kind of odd.

The strangest was a tiny little fish my brother had that was accidentally sold with 2 golsfish. Because he was tiny, my brother named him "Lunch".

I hope some people get the joke ^^

not really weird, but our Guinea pigs were named after food and drinks, except for one of them.

we had; Caramel, Marmalade (Marmy) and Brandy. our Matriarch Guinea was called Shenzi after the Hyena in the Lion King because of the long crazy bangs she had.

we also had a few bunnies, but the one with the most unusual name was Radar, because of his ears were half lop and half up.

cats and dogswise, theyve all had people names or tree names.

our Chickens also had old lady names. We named one Queenie after Steve McQueen because she kept escaping.

I used to have a Beta fish that I named Roxas after one of the main characters in Kingdom Hearts 2.

I guess you can say my current cats name is weird. Jubyaki. My gf wanted juby and I wanted to call her teriyaki since the cat hates the taste of teriyaki. So we just put em together and called her jubyaki. The vets usually get a kick out of it.
