Im confused about season 7 first 2 episodes

Some people think that this could be the same overall story presented in the two episodes but from different perspectives. I personally don't know what to make of it other than the writers wanting to try and break a tradition that has been present since the show's inception.

It is definitely weird. This is the first time we have seen such a thing in the show and it just makes me wonder if the episodes will be directly linked or if they will have some slight time jump. I doubt the second one, but it is a bit confusing.

I think its just them testing out a new naming scheme. I think the two episodes are basically "Pt1 and Pt2".


What I want to know is how you lose an entire TABLE. its part of the FLOOR. As in, immovable. Like, that's "misplaces 100 baneblades" level of fail. The only thing I can think of is starlight tries some pants on head retarded spell on the map and teleports it somewhere else in equestria by mistake :/ XD

Some people think this season starts a new era of the show. Well, they're wrong. The first season of the "new era" was actually Season 5, which was Starlight's very first appearance on the show (as a villain, of course). Moreover, it was the first season to air after the launch of Discovery Family, replacing The Hub.

 

And, technically speaking, Season 7's first episode is really just a continuation of what happened after the Season 6 finale.

 

So, to sum things all up, we're now into the third season of the new era with these episodes.

I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that the premiere wasn't a two part episode and instead was just two unrelated episodes. I mean Hasbro has already done this kind of premiere before with Littlest Pet Shop, so it wouldn't be too out there in the realm of possibilities.

Technically speaking, this isn't the first time they've done this. Go all the way back to the series premiere. Yes, both parts collectively are known (and broadcast) as Friendship is Magic parts 1 and 2. But both also have a distinct alternate title. (Mare in The Moon and Elements of Harmony respectively)

Ok I've been looking at the images and the trailers for season 7, and it would appear that that Celestial Advice is about Twilight being unsure about Starlight's graduation, so she talks to Celestia about it, and shows her visions about Starlight's future, and that she might need more guidance, which makes Twilight not want to graduate Starlight after all in the end. Well that's my theory, I dunno if that's true.

 

Now All Bottled Up is a completely separate episode. The Mane Six are going on vacation, and Starlight, Trixie, and Spike stay behind to work on some magic spells, but ends up breaking the Cutie Map, so the three of them need to fix it before Twilight gets home. Also in the images, it looks like there's gonna be a song in it between the Mane Six, and then switching it to Starlight, Trixie, and Spike, so probably a 9-way musical number!

I think it is a one part episode or the storie comes back in upcoming episodes. Then you have a very long Premiere which is also the finale. That would be a really cool idea.

I like to think of it like "Face the Music" and "Starcrushed" (S2E21 & S2E22 from Star Vs. the Forces of Evil). They're basically the same episode (Pt. 1 and Pt. 2), however they still deserve their own name.

I'm guessing whatever she does 'shuts off' the map, basically like how it got all glitched for a moment when Starlight and Twilight brought it back online last season.
