Coco was the best! And coming from someone who celebrates day of the dead, it was really accurate. From how the ofrenda looks to what pan dulces are best to offer the dead

Not sure if this counts as a holiday but the Cooper's Hill Cheese-Rolling and Wake is an annual event held in Gloucester, England where people race down a large hill chasing after a large cheese wheel... It's actually received international attention  I feel it represents us Brits in a positive, goofy way for a change.

At least Canadian Ukrainians remember the proper name of this holiday. Here it's mostly reduced to grain throwing and alcohol drinking nowadays.

Christmas for the commercialism.

Other than that, 4th of July for America, hands down, and NOT just because it's the national holiday. It's celebrated by getting together with friends and family, eating unhealthy food, getting drunk, and playing with explosives.

I am incapable of thinking of a more American thing. It's pretty damn fun too.

4th of July or Thanksgiving.....although, more 4th of July than anything.  It’s one of my favorite holidays I CANT WAIT for July 4th!!

100% true. But what you left out is what the pole is supposed to represent...

 

Okay so it is a festival of fertility, and the pole, which looks like this:

The rings are "the balls" or "you know what", and the dancers are a ring around the shaft of "you know what", and the dancers are representing "you know what"

 

And everyone knows about it!

I live in the United States of America and I assume Independence Day is the holiday that “defines” the place. That’s the first holiday that comes to mind.
