Over the summers when I'm off work I often go a week or longer. I only shower when getting together with other people.

This does stem from a medical condition when showering daily was causing horrendous rashes. Probably over that now but I got in the habit of infrequent showering. Even now when working I only do every other day.

Yeah no, once a week is pretty bad. I have to shower every day.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

Well, to me, that is, it's gross. But I know people out there who could pull it off, without even breaking a sweat. Ever since I was a kid, I shower twice/once daily. I don't really like the feel of my body not showering before going to school. It is also a culture in my country. (if you're wondering, i'm Malaysian).

Showering everyday keeps me fresh and in-sync with myself. Without showering daily, I'd probably go cuckoo-locka. I also like showering before studying because it freshens up my mind. I tend to avoid showering 7 p.m. + though, it just feels weird. To me, I spend about 1/6 of my entire lifespan showering. That's how long it takes, so I have to wake up super early in the morning (at 6 a.m.) to saddle up for school and get there early (before 7.10 a.m).

I couldn't do it. I bathe every evening before bed and at least rinse in the morning if not a full shower, it just depends on how I feel. I can't sleep feeling dirty and have a hard time waking up without a splash in the morning.

Yeah... no. I shower every other day to prevent my skin from drying out too much.

I mean, it depends on how oily and how much BO you get, I suppose. I don't get oily or much BO at all (believe me, my family would let me know) so I usually go a couple days without showering. Most of my family does the same.
Unless I'm working out at the gym everyday. Then I shower waaaay more often.

I once went a week without showering and I felt like the dirtiest and stinkiest human being alive. But I believe it depends on the type of person who is showering weekly. It depends on how much you sweat normally, how dirty you actually become during that time and how much your body starts to smell. If your body can be kept alright throughout a whole week, I'm pretty sure it's not too bad. I'd still advise said person to shower a bit more often for their hygiene and health.

I’ve gone about a week and a half without bathing, but it was while I was unable to walk, and having the energy to get to the bathroom was a no go. Dark times.

I normally shower daily because I sweat often and feel messy if I don't. If I waited a whole week to shower though, I'd smell horrible and probably have an acne breakout.

Whether you shower daily or weekly it really just depends on I feel your hygienic needs someone that is conscious of their odor would probably shower daily. Though, I personally feel like showering every day is a good idea as long as you're not using too much soap every time. Say you shower everyday, on some days you wouldn't use any products is what I'm saying. I still think most people should every day as really you don't want to give people the impression of you stinking.

Showering weekly? As in only once a week? Uh, no that's pretty gross :eww:

I shower once a day, even if I didn't leave my house to go anywhere.

I make it an effort to shower at least once a day, especially after I go to the gym.

I just went through two solid days without a shower (not by choice! I had surgery and the doc said I had to wait). But I just showered today and it feels GREAT. It may not seem like a big deal, but a shower is one of the great little gifts in life. If you don't believe me, just try going a couple days without one. Cleanliness is civilization, hygiene and happiness. I advise regular bathing, just for the fun of it, if nothing else.

I wish that I could say that it depends on the person, but I live and work with college students that can go a week without showering...it's not pleasant. I'm not even a person who's sensitive to that. If showering once a week is a routine practice for you, there's bound to be side effects ranging anywhere from dandruff to frequent illness. It's just generally ill-advised. I know that at least I couldn't keep that up!
