I did confirm on Netflix that the sound is there on the episode, so it wasn't edited, but as @Rikifive suggests, it is likely not supposed to be a kissing sound effect.

There's no implication of that anywhere in the show as of yet that I can see. Sure she's nice to Fluttershy, but that's because she's a fellow pegasus friend. Having a friend that's a girl doesn't automatically mean it's a girlfriend.

And they did not rub noses in an “Eskimo kiss” or flutter their eyelashes on each other in a “butterfly kiss”. There was zero kiss here.

And officially, the show has never addressed Dash's orientation. That's the answer to your question.

As for my awnser, well, there's no way to be sure, really. So you can interprete it in any way you like. Since i don't ship RD with any characters (Rarishy my only MLP ship) i don't really think about this kind of thing very often, but i can see why someone would think she is.

Its a joke, Donttey. A candid photo is a photo taken without the permission of the person in the photo. I was poking fun. The joke is, you never said you wanted said photos, but it makes you sound like an obsessive perve if you did ask, which you didn't.

It's not really a kiss, so it doesn't confirm anything. As for her being nice to Fluttershy and caring it's probably because Fluttershy is vulnerable and Rainbow has learned that and wants to look out for her, given their contrasting personalities. They're also both pegasi which brings them closer and they've known each other longer than anyone else in the Mane 6, or at least we can presume that, because they went to flight school together as fillies.

You said lips don’t have to be involved for it to be a kiss. I pointed out that the dictionary definition of a kiss involves the lips. I also pointed out that every other “kiss” like the Eskimo or butterfly kiss still involves facial contact (lashes, nose, etc).

Frame by frame, Rainbow picks Flutters up by the shoulders. That is the only physical contact in that scene. Again, literally no kiss happened in this example of yours.

LOL! Really? Very strange sound effect. What, did Fluttershy’s shoulders go “smooch”?

EDIT: Listening over and over to it. I THINK it’s actually some kind of “swish” sounds effect for Fluttershy being quickly hoisted up off the ground. It’s still very strange sounding.

Getting back to that video...

Okay, so that sound effect is the sound of kissing, right? Let's assume, that for some mysterious reason it would be true. In that case, that sound effect obviously would have to be made by one of the characters, because that's how kissing works - it needs to be made by somebody.

Now it is clearly stated in the topic title, OP and Youtube Video's title, that Rainbow Dash is the one, who is supposed to generate that sound.

If anypony believes she kissed her, please take a look at that fragment I've prepared and tell me in which frame she kisses Fluttershy?

Because I have no idea. All I see is, that Rainbow Dash didn't make even a tiny little movement with her lips, she had the same smile all the time. So how she managed to generate that sound? She didn't even move her head, nor anything, that would suggest her being about to kiss.

 

I actually have spent more time on that doing further investigation.
I've decided to check what the sound effect is all about actually.
I've used some slightly-advanced magic and played that fragment in slow-motion with sound, which is what Youtube doesn't offer. After watching and listening to it multiple times it turns out, that the sound effect starts at frame #45 (referring to my gif above) and ends somewhere around frame #48, which means, that the sound effect is generated by Fluttershy, when she leans back. What's more, their heads are far away at that point, which disqualifies it from being the kissing sound, due to not making any sense.

In normal speed, everything goes so fast, that it just blends together making it sound like it was audible much sooner. I actually was surprised by the results - almost like an illusion of some sort.  Either way now I don't have any doubts.

After listening to that sound in slow-motion few times, it just sounds like a 'whoosh'-like sound effect with raising pitch.

I understand that kind of fanart, as that's just one of the rules of the internet- at least you can tell, that it's not official. In this video however, the information provided is just misleading and as we all can see - members were using that video as an evidence- that turns out, was irrelevant. Now that you know this fragment was a wrong argument, I gave yet another dislike to that Youtube video for that reason.

 

 

I honestly don't think anything more can be pointed out from that fragment- I've explained everything as best as I could.
 

You don't even have idea how much time and effort I've put into that investigation and making this post...

I was just messing with you at first but let me just say, that is alot of effort into that just to prove somebody wrong about something that hsrdly matters. Reason was dumb but good work on it. What did you use to edit?

Because it's a children's cartoon, she probably isn't lesbian because angry parents would be attacking Hasbro if they had a gay character.

There are characters in other media that some parents assume are gay and they throw a fit. Like SpongeBob, Barny and many other characters.
If Hasbro took a step forward and made a character gay, it would be awesome for social reasons but possibly bad on business. So any My Little Pony character being gay is not likely.

On a side note, if they make a character gay or bisexual, I'd prefer it to be a more feminine character, like Fluttershy or even pinkie pie, to break the masculine lesbian stereotype and to break the stereotype of masculine women are all lesbians.

 

Edit: 
A Note on the Kissing Scene. If they did kiss, which I don't believe they did, I don't think it means she is a lesbian. I know many women who are okay with kissing their good friends, even if they are straight.

I don't see a kiss, and the sound could have been a swoosh. I think it's too much of a stereotype to think a tompony is a lesbian. Do we see any of the mane 6 have romantic interests? We see some romance with other characters. It's best to leave some things a mystery.

There's little evidence on the sexuality of the mane six, mainly given this isn't the focus of friendship in a show partly dedicated to children, so every perception on the subject would be ultimately reduced to speculation and/or wishful thinking.

Not that the sexuality of a cartoon horse would be a matter of concern for a strong, hairy man such as myself.

Nah, don't take anything personally. I just saw members being confused, so I wanted to get things straight.  

I used VEGAS Pro 14.0 to put visuals (frame counter etc.) on the video and render it as an image sequence, that then was loaded into GIMP, where I configured frame delays and exported these as a single .gif file. The whole process was rather manual, it required some patience.
For slow-motion with sound preview, I also just used Vegas mentioned above.
