What I don't understand is how it is that Prince Blueblood got more votes than Shining Armor? The latter is far more likable and has been in more episodes as well as the Friendship Games movie. Seriously people what even?

Reading the last few pages of this pretty much confirms what I thought about Fluttershy's popularity, it's ENTIRELY based on people relating to her it seems, every damn post expect for like one or two where people state her as their favorite it just seems to be "o well I relate to her the most". And I just don't get it, why is that so important to some people? Isn't a character being compelling better? Having an actual arc of some sort? how funny they are? the quality of their focus episodes? Things like that more important?

 

 

 

Also as iv said before this poll REALLY REALLY needs to be reset. There's so much outdated junk data here from years ago that it just does not reflect much of anything anymore. Like Rainbow Dash? Might still be number #1 after a reset but I don't know, Rarity and Twilight would definitely both be much higher and Pinkie Pie I suspect might actually place 6th, I hardly ever see hardcore Pinkie Fans on this forum anymore, that or they are much quieter than the others.

Personally, I don't see any problem with people being able to relate more to certain characters. Me and my friends have characters that we relate to and no one's ever had a problem with that. Let people relate to who they want. Let them have that special connection. It really doesn't matter in the end. Don't try to keep someone from connecting with whoever they want. That's what makes us unique.

I really love the CMC, and I would pick all of them for my favorite; however, that is not the topic that this forum is about.

 

If I can only pick one. It will be Applebloom. She seems to act a little bit more adult then Sweetie Bell and Scootaloo, and she has this aura of a leader about her.

Rarity is my favorite Mane 6, since I like her humor and the way she can act. Pinkie Pie used to be my favorite, but she became a bit annoying to me after Season 3. However, she still has funny moments.

I like Derpy and Lyra. There are some other background ponies I've seen and then I've been like, "ooh! Pretty! I wanna know more about that pony!!" But they're gone as soon as they show up. So I guess I'll have to imagine it for myself.

Lightning Dust to the death for me! I can't pin down what I like most about her; cocky and brazen attitude, the open-endedness of her fate to fan interpretation - even her design I really like. I just love her to bits even if she only appeared in one episode and was a dick for all of it.
