    Similar personalities with diametrically opposing views of the world that nevertheless play out in similar behaviors... Can't you just hear Pinkie Pie saying "Let's put a smile on that face!"

    I was never a hater, no... at least not for Friendship is Magic. I confess my much younger dude self had a somewhat justified disdain for the older series and the whole "stupid girly" scene, but that was then, and this is now. Apples and oranges, as they say.

    It's not even just the voice change, it's that everything is different. No name, no eyes... basically none of the things that make her a distinct character are present. You can tell in the new voice recordings that their hearts just aren't in it, and that really saps the comedy from the whole thing. Now I just feel the same way RD does in the scene while I'm watching it. Well, the original is already widespread on the internet, which means it's basically staying in circulation no matter what. I for one will forever consider the original to be canon and pretend this never happened.

    It seems to me like the best we're going to get is Derpy affecting the plot, if not being the focus of it. Honestly just giving her interaction with any other character will make me happy.

    Death is scary because it's the last thing that will happen to you, and because it's hard to understand that while you're dead you won't be alive to experience being dead. It's terrifying to imagine being buried in the Earth in a box forever, but try to remember that you won't be asleep during this, you won't be unconscious, you will be utterly gone. The body you are manipulating to serve your ends and which you keep fueled to maintain your existence... you will have already left it behind. Your life energy will have separated from your physical body, to whatever end. Nothing that can happen to your body after you die will have any affect on you whatsoever, because you'll already be dead. I think I've made my point. There is nothing to fear. Death is only the beginning.

    I was messing around on YouTube one night playing music, and for some reason a related video was the Ponies: Anthology video. I watched, transfixed and confused, for the whole video. I saw enough of the show that I wanted to see what the actual show was like, so I checked it out on another YouTube link and that's when I had that feeling some of you remember.. "Clearly I have a mental imbalance because I am a man and I just had a great time watching My Little Pony." Once I saw it happened to everypony else too, I gave in and stepped into bronydom.

    I never even considered that ship before, but now that it's canon I have to say I think it's very sweet and has great potential.

    No need to feel sad, everypony. Not to sound harsh,but instead of sitting around feeling bad for yourself this Valentine's Day, give yourself a day filled with the things you enjoy and consider what ways you can better yourself and possibly make it more clear to the world just how great a catch you are. I'll be technically alone, but no more alone than any other day, and I'm doing just fine at the moment. I'm getting what I want from life or I'm actively working towards that being the case, so I am happy. You can be, too. No need for romance making everything complicated.

    I'm the sort to watch a show with episodes in order, so I started with the first episode. I was very impressed with the quality of the scripting and voice acting, and the beautiful animation. By the time NMM was defeated I was hooked. There were only 4 episodes released at the time, too... makes me a little proud.

    I usually go to ponychan or here... ponibooru once in a while. Oh, and Equestria Daily all the time!

    Check if I'm a pony. If yes - check my cutie mark, go find Twilight and the gang and try to get them to hang out with me. If no - lurk until I discover where Spike keeps his weed, then try to get blazed with a dragon. Actually, I might try to do that as a pony, too.

    I picked Buddhism, but I'm really a Taoist. My whole family are Lutherans, so it's definitely a choice. I used to consider myself a Buddhist, but I'm simply too hedonistic to truly let go of all desire. Instead I'm still basically following the Middle Way, but with more emphasis on balance and moderation, rather than nonduality.

    Anthro generally weirds me out. Just feels strange to me. I think humanized is awesome, and regular pony art... but I don't dig anthro unless it's really well done and not, you know... creepy.

    I am also super jealous. When I do remember my dreams they're always crazy stories about battling enormous tunneling insects beneath the Earth, or living on the planet 100,000 years in the future, where the entire planet's surface is now covered in water and people have adapted to living in underwater domes. No ponies yet.

    I voted for unicorns because their magic gives them freedom (on the ground, at least) and manipulation the other ponies couldn't dream of. Also because my two favorite ponies are Twi and Rarity.
