    • Yes! I don't care what I do. Just give me the money.

    • No I'd rather take the job I enjoy doing even if I didn't get that much money..

Unless you're fortunate enough to have a job that you love, working is going to seem like an unfulfilling means to an end. We all have to pay the bills and working is an inevitable fact of life. But that's as far as it goes. Necessities are one thing, but I couldn't care less about luxuries as long as I am doing something that I love. So I'd far prefer a job that I enjoy over having lots of money.

Depends. I would have to think it through.

If I work for money, I rather have that money go into something that I enjoy.

If I work because it is fun, but get less money for it, then it rather be "fun" and enjoyable for me as a person.

Right now I just really need a job where I'm competent, and where I sit down, works with my lack of transportation and has at least one private single restroom. I don't care if it's a boring job. It'd only be temporary since once we move I plan on going to grad school. But right now we are struggling financially, and my lack of ability to do the job I used to do due to pain is hurting us so badly. Enjoying a job is the least of my concern right now, I just need one.

It really depends on what each of these means. Is the unpleasant job something extremely terrible? How well does it pay? If I got a ridiculous amount for it like a million euro a year, I'd probably do almost anything (as long as it didn't involve risking the lives and well-being of myself or other people). Then I could just work that terrible job for a few years before leaving, and then self-employ myself and do something more enjoyable, without having to worry much about the pay. :P

If we don't go to extremes like that, then I'd take a little more enjoyment over a little more money, to be honest. :rarity:

I have a job right now that gives me money, enough to handle bills and such, but I definitely don't enjoy it. It's also not enough for me to move forward in life. I am currently working towards getting a better one that works with my situation, is something I enjoy, and pays way better than what I have now. If it all works out, that would be great.

But, to answer the question, I would very much prefer to have a job that I enjoy, rather than one I despise, even if the pay is slightly lower.

I've always said if I can survive off of a job that I love, I will choose it over a well-paying job I don't enjoy 100% of the time.

At least I’d be getting money.

I would rather be happy with my job even though it wasn’t paying me well.

I mean I’d rather have

Honestly though it’s hard to pick. I’d love to have a job I enjoy but if I can’t support myself financially I’d be depressed. However if I work a job I hate I’d be depressed but I could use the money for things that make me happy.

I think I’d have to go with the job that pays well. Then I could use the money to do things outside of work to make me happy enough that I wouldn’t care about how terrible work is.

Depends, if the job enjoy pays like jackshit to the point where I can't support myself then no, but if it's something like let's say 40k a year for example then sure.

It really depends for me. I find the pay to be important when getting a job but if all the work does is make me stressed, unhappy and possibly depressed, it isn't worth it. I'd rather take a lower pay for a happier life. You don't need to be rich to be happy and the latter matters more to me.

No. I have a job, pays well, and even I like the work I do here, but most of the people here are harsh, arrogant and trying to make you look a looser, and in this way, I no not prefer my job anymore. That's why I decided to change my workplace, it is now causing me health issues.

To be honest here, a job that I enjoy wold work out better for me as then you can actually enjoy your life and work you're doing rather than having a job you absolutely hate going to, even with all the benefits. If you can just about make it in life with the job you love, go for it. But if you unfortunately can only survive on a job you hate, then you have no choice.

It really depends, you could always get a well paying job just to save up for the job you actually want.

Using myself as an example, I want to be a tailor at some point but since I can't afford going to the right school to properly work on my portfolio and learn how to create patterns, all that fun stuff.  I have to get a job that I may not exactly want but just as long as it helps with bills and helps me save up for going to school, I'd say it was worth it getting a well paying job just so you can work towards the job you actually want.  I mean, if this were an ideal world I'd already be doing what I wanted to do in the first place.  So yeah, get the job that pays well so you can save money to be able to work the lesser paying job that you would love to do.

My job has shifted from one I love to one that makes more money but less enjoyable. I prefer the enjoyment. Same company different position, new bosses, best work bud got a different job. Its not the same. Yes 5k more is nice but id rather have my old work enviornment.

Right now, I definitely need a job that pays well regardless of my preference. Thankfully, my current job is one I enjoy more than the last one I had that paid less. I look at every job as an acquired taste. For a long time, my dream job has been to be an online entertainer, but right now, I don't feel I'm ready. I'm content doing whatever work I have to do before I'm there.
