Do you wear MLP clothing in public?

I wear pony shirts regularly, and literally no one gives a shit at all. No one is going to bother you, and other bronies will come up to you and say hi. People in real life aren't like people on the internet.

I have to agree with earl, when i do wear pony merch people really don't care where i live or just don't notice it and the people that do notice it almost always react positively.

If I saw another brony with a plush or a t shirt or whatever i would be over joyed to say hello sense i never see any one with pony merch ever other then me :/

I bought my first pony related shirt online and it's being mailed. But it's the absolute king of obscurity.

Same here, man  Total stealth mode for the win!

Personally, I have pony merch and wear it in public. I do not care what others think. Girls supposedly get away with liking MLP easier than guys, which is true to a degree. I still have people laugh and find me odd for wearing Fluttershy or Luna shirts. If someone were to walk in my dorm room, you'd know I am a pony. My nightstand is covered in ponies. I have plushes and a blanket on my bed. I also have skulls and Walking Dead figures lol. So, that being said, like what you want to. You like pony merch? Wear it. You prefer figures and that sort of stuff only? Totally fine. Everyone expresses their fandoms differently.

I don't have any, I wouldn't wear any. I just don't see it going down well. I'm sure I might get a brohoof or two and meet some people but that's just going to be greatly outweighed by people throwing abuse at me. It's just something I'm happy to keep to myself. I much prefer to wear band t-shirts even though they come with their own stigmas simply because music is something I'm significantly more into.

I'm not a medical expert, psychologist, psychiatrist, teacher or love doctor. Take my words with a pinch of salt, yeah?

I am an experienced cook, musician and care worker though, so that's something.

As a transwoman I'm already at high risk of being assaulted just for walking down the street. Openly wearing or carrying pony merch would only make me stand out more, I fear.

That must be very obscure because I can't recognize what it means myself xD

I wouldn't dare wear anything of the sort out in public. Judgement is passed all too quickly.

If you live in the middle of nowhere like I do, wearing pony shirts would probably get you beaten straight to the hospital.  I don't have any pony merch but I'd probably wear a Discord shirt in public.

Yup.  Thats why i dont wear this stuff around home.

Sure thing, but there is a generally acknowledged criteria for the extent you express your interest. Not a lot of people walk around in public carrying a giant plushie of their favorite anime characters, so doing the same for ponies is probably a rare sighting and not generally socially accepted behavior as well.

I don't own any pony clothing nor do I intend to. I don't feel any need to broadcast my interest in a cartoon show or set myself up for social scrutiny for the sake of 'expressing myself'.

Speaking of which I find that to be a weak reason in itself. If you think wearing clothing produced in some sweatshop by a multinational company is genuine self-expression then your idea of the term is pretty cheap in my opinion.

The truth is always rough.

I know that I've posted here before, but after reading some of the newer replies, I feel as though that I should reiterate what I said.

It doesn't phase me in the slightest if people stare or make smart comments.

To put it simply: If you have the merch, then by all means, feel free to wear it! But be prepared to take what people tell you with a grain or two of salt, and if they resort to violence, then stand up for yourself and either go to the police, or fight back.

I, unfortunatly, do not own a lot of wearable pony merch, but I wear it all the time and have learned to not care what people think of me. I have a brony which is usually the first shirt I wear after laundry day. I have a Rainbowdash wallet and a pony lanyard from Hot Topic that I wear everyday. I also have a Big Mac sweatshirt that my girlfriend made for me that I wear when ever it is actually cold. Also at my work, I have a few pony key chains on my key ring which get frequently borrowed by all of my employees.

Probably because wearing my little pony, a show to most of the public is seen as a show for young girls, merchandise isn't really a thing a grown man/teenager would do normally? And people will probably see you as a freak if you do that?

While I'm not bothered what people think of me for liking My Little Pony (since anyone with any intelligence can see how pathetically shallow it is to judge someone negatively based on that), I am highly conscious of introducing ponies where they are not needed or wanted. So I won't ever wear pony merch if I'm hanging out with non-brony friends but I'm perfectly fine with them seeing my posters and plushes etc. if they come to my house, since that is my space and so it reflects my personal interests.

I started bringing my Pinkie Pie plush with me to college every day and I hug and kiss my Pinkie Pie plushie both before and after a final or a presentation. This one guy from the back said some things to me a few times but Im the kind of guy that demands respect (thanks Ironwills training program) so eventually he got the message and stopped talking to me. We are on different sides of the room anyways. When I hsd friends in college they werent into ponies but they didnt really care that I was either, unfortunately my friends dropped out because reasons but nobody in my class really cares enough to say anything or mention the fact thst I hug and kiss a Pinkie Pie plushie before tests except the one guy who I told to **** off and he seems to have got the message. People will still respect you even if you walk around with a pony plushie as long as you dont act like a door mat and if they dont respect you they arent worth your time.

I have a Rainbow Dash wallet, that I used to use. I had it for two years, before switching to my current wallet. Any time I pulled it out I would get weird looks at the stores in my area. Sometimes people would ask, I would say, "This? Oh yeah I'm a total fan of the show. Dashie here is my favorite." They would then proceed to be mystified and go about the rest of their day with a look of confusion on their face.

I don't because I don't own any pony merch, and even if I did, I'd rather not cross my worlds. This is strictly an internet thing for me, and it should stay that way.
