What Is The Heaviest Thing You've Ever Lifted?

Definitely my families Armoire for sure. We had to take it down 3 flights of stairs, load it in a moving van, than bring it back up 2 flights of stairs in our new home! Luckily, we hired movers because we would have died if it weren't for them!

Well, when I was volunteering at Lifeline, me and some others had to move this cabinet and it was so unbelievably heavy, I think I nearly hurt my back trying to move that rotten thing.

I worked in the office and my boss asked me to take some boxes of textbooks downstairs. They don't have any dolly carts and the elevator is broken..damn it was like carrying boxes of bricks, let alone carrying it downstairs.

Oh i almost forgot, and this one very large patient. I was there by myself. Should’ve call for help but everyone else is pretty occupied atm so yeah it was not fun.

Had to lift and move an anvil once, wasn't fun. :adorkable:

Friend of mine tried to get me to wheel his broken-down motorcycle back to his place, problem was, it was miles away. Ended up refusing, regret nothing.

My grandfather needed to get a 5x8 cargo uhaul trailer hitched to the truck. Problem was it was leaning forward on the ground, and he couldn't lift it up enough to latch it. I managed to do it, but it left my arms and fingers sore for a couple days.

By myself, ~140 pounds. At my work we often get really heavy packages. We're supposed to get help lifting anything heavy, and we're supposed to use a pallet jack for packages over 150 pounds, but we never do. Too much of a hassle.

I've also "lifted" my motorcycle, but not off the ground. I just stood it back up after it fell over. It's about 380 pounds wet, but with the right leverage it's easy to stand up.

I deadlifted 225kg (500lbs) in March last year (I've lifted some weights for years, but around this time I was considering entering strongman competitions although ultimately decided against it), so it'd have to be that. I was heavier and stronger at the time though, almost certainly couldn't still pull that weight today.

In terms of lifting something above my head, it'd be an 85kg (188lb) overhead press. I did that around a similar time to my deadlift above when my bodyweight was at its peak, but unlike the deadlift I think I would have a reasonable chance at still pressing that weight or near to it today, my shoulders have always been pretty strong.

Hard to say for sure, but a few stand-outs would be a heavy wood buffet cabinet my parents bought. It’s antique and incredibly massive. There was a giant box full of my stuff which I overpacked when I moved to California and I was kind of proud that I could actually lift it (even if I needed some physical therapy afterwards). There was also a pallet at work, covered with large packing containers and it was in my way so I had to move it. I didn’t lift it though, I just scooched it to the side. It was extremely heavy but I don’t think it counts because it never left the ground.
