Its how I get all my stuff in truth,  well minus undergarments.   You can really find a lot of cool and neat stuff from places like Goodwill to flea markets if you try!

I really enjoy it, though I mostly browse around for things that aren't clothes like books and old VHS tapes. I like how the stock is a bit of a surprise, sometimes you leave empty handed, other times you find tons of interesting stuff. I also like the kitchen appliance section; the prices appeal to my inner cheapness.

I like going thrift shopping, I love to look at all the old vintage pieces of furniture and other such oddity's. I especially like looking at all the old clocks and stuff, I'm saving up my money for an old Grandfather Clock. I don't really browse through any clothes the thrift store may have, mostly because if I buy clothes, I like to buy it brand new from the outlet.

The only time I go to thrift stores.. Is if they are Restores.. Like Habitat for Humanity Restore or other places that do that. Why?...

You can find awesome hardware related stuff, as when I go to those places I tend to look for HID (High Intensity Discharge) light fixtures or lamps for a fraction of the price when new, I also may find some old lights! Or components. I have a few actual streetlights I found at them, two I found just recently. That's the kind of Thrift shopping I like to do. Cause you never know what you will find. I don't get clothes and stuff from thrift stores, but I always go to the Habitat restores or even other places that do the same things that aren't affiliated with them. They are thrift hardware stores, and in a way they can be better than a hardware store in finding things normal hardware stores don't sell!

I actually don't mind, I enjoyed shopping at the antique store and buy a lot of vintage clothes and items. Plus they got stories.

Usually when I go there I see stuff that looks like it doesn't even work properly. The only time I can recall buying stuff there is when I built one of my first cosplays, which I still have. Usually if I want something I just buy it new, plus the only thrift store nearby is very much out of my way, in a neighboring town that was made for old people. Long stretches of roads with slow cars, and low speed limits.

You can find some good bargains at thrift shops...heck it's where I got my 2nd monitor for my PC...$20 for a 22'' monitor? That's less than $1 an inch!

Fleamarkets can be even better at times, especially if they're a weekend only kind (bi-annually type ones) and the vendors jsut wanna get rid of their stuff on the last day...can score some sweet deals, even some nice free stuff.

There's a local thrift store called "ReStore" that gets donated stuff, all their proceeds go towards Habitat for Humanity...so you get a good deal and you're cash is going to a good cause, win win!

It's Great! I love to thriftshop.I go once in a while to the nearby Salvation Army Family Store or Goodwill to check out if they got any cool stuff there.Everything's pretty cheap so that's another good thing.About a few months ago I found a not so badly torn up Applejack 12" plush for 1.99 at a local Thrift shop and I bought it,took it home, washed it,and dryed it.One hell of a deal if you ask me.

I don't know why the other kids at my school are so anti-thrift or anti-discounted about certain things like clothes.they really like to 'roast' and make fun of others which is pretty stupid and selfish.

I used to work at a popular thrift store. People make it into a big deal or negative thing, but it's just another place to shop. Mostly cheap clothes and if you keep checking you'll definitely find things on the shelves you'll want or need.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with thrift shopping or buying second hand. I occasionally visit thrift stores and yard sales. I usually buy tools and such. There's neat stuff out there. Just gotta look for it.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with thrift shopping! You can find some pretty good and neat stuff! There's a pretty nice Salvation Army near my work. I bought a house 2 years ago and I'm SO glad I remembered about the place! I got so much good stuff for dirt cheap. They would have days where a certain sticker color would only be like $1 NO MATTER WHAT THE ITEM original price WAS! It included anything but furniture. :mlp_blink:

I've gotten very nice furniture like some end-tables, some nice light fixtures and lamps, a kitchen table with chairs, a glass coffee table, kitchen stuff, some electronics, very nice wind up wall clocks, and other decoration stuff. All for dirt cheap- I'm not talking ancient stuff either. The best thing I got was a like new $500 snowblower for $60. I only get stuff that I can inspect and clean thoroughly though. No soft furniture. I have no interest in bed bugs or the like.

The problem now (2 years later) is that it seems like the person who does the price tags is funding their drug habit- The prices now seem to be made by a crackhead. A lot of stuff- especially furniture- you can get cheaper NEW. No more dollar days sales either.
