Are you happy that season 9 is the final season?

I'm actually glad that season 9 is the final season. I mean if the series go much longer, then I'm pretty sure it will eventually go bad. I want the series to end on a high note.

I wouldn't say I'm "happy" given that a part of me doesn't want to see it end, but I am still glad that it will have a definitive conclusion instead of being left to rot well past its prime.

I'm not what you would call 'happy' that 9 is the final season. It doesn't make me sad either, though. "Friendship is Magic" got nine seasons, along with specials, three moves on DVD, a theatrical film, a spin-off series, with specials and movies for the spin-off series. "My Little Pony:Friendship is Magic" enjoys a HUGE body of work. Other favorite series of mine "Kim Possible" My Life as a Teenage Robot" only had three seasons. Even in Japan, most anime are lucky to get two 26 episode seasons. Frankly, I think we were blessed.

On one hand, I'm sad to know that FiM's ending.

 On the other hand, I'm glad to see that it isn't going to become one of those shows that people grow to hate due to it being on TV for *way* too long.

Neither. I’m okay with the show ending this season for reasons, such as the “it has to end at some point” cliche. If Hasbro had decided to keep it going, I would I have been okay with that, too.

No, I think it is ending prematurely. There just so many characters, and story ideas left to discover, I don’t see how they can possibly address them all in only 26 episodes. I know that the show is going to end with at least some unanswered questions, and that doesn’t make me happy.

Does anyone remember way back in the early days of the fandom, when people used to brag about binge watching the whole series in 24 hours? Ha! It can't be done any more. WAY too much footage to run!

I'm happy. 9 years is a hell of a run for any show nowadays, especially a cartoon. There's such a thing as oversaturation, and where it becomes too much (coughthetoylinecough), so it's good to have FiM end now, as it has already gone sour. Way too much Mane 6 and Princess saturation. I'd very much like to move on, and I hope and pray that we don't get the same Mane 6 in slightly altered designs but same personalities (or vice versa) in generation 5.

Yes, I think its time to let it go, I was 20 living with my parents and going to college when this show started. My life is so much different this it was then the fandom is still going and gen 5 might be good. Honestly if the show did end the fandom would probably die faster if it kept going.

I definitely wanted the show to end soon, but S9 is a little too soon for my liking. I woulda preferred S10 to be the final season, personally...

Honestly, I'm glad the series is ending with Season 9 before we get into double digits on seasons and things start to get stale. The series has had a great run, and I'm sure the Brony Community will keep things going for years afterwards.

To be honest, I was kind of disappointed because I thought they'd do 10 seasons which would I think would've tied it all well. Plus, I love seeing ponies in every episode as well. But, I can't control them so at least we got 9 seasons.

Part of me is kinda glad that it is wrapping up on a high note if anything.  Now we have had some hits and misses when it comes to the show but you find that in anything these days!   We each got to see the mane 6 grow and change and have their goals met they set out too at the start of season 1 way back in the day.   

And we got to see the world grow and meet other beings in the world, got a good layering of history and some just good moments we love as fans.   I hope we do get something of a spin-off with our Student six,  maybe a comic or a few youtube shorts would be nice.

In some ways, it does weirdly feel like a premature end, but I'm still honestly glad that it's ending now. I trust that it could still push a few years and a few seasons of runtime and not go downhill, but letting it go out with a bang so that it can move on to G5 without leaving a sour taste in our mouths is better to me than taking that risk.

I'm not happy that My Little Pony; Friendship is Magic is at it's final season, I spent two years in this fandom and It's not enough to... but... It's finally the time to say goodbye to MLP; FiM. smiling is the only way to keep our joy in, and look forward to the new generation

I feel like there's still a lot to do with the characters. I'd love a Starswirl and Discord episode, for example. Or maybe explore the Student Six more.

Well, while I'm sad to see one of my favorite shows come to and end, I AM glad that it's ending on its own terms and going while it's still fresh.

Rather than overstaying its welcome, going on past its natural lifetime, and slowly losing its goodwill overtime.

I cant be happy that something I love is ending. But I am glad they have a story to tell and the guts to end it when its time. Better that then risking jumping the shark and tainting the show.
