I was born and raised in Jamaica (as were my parents). 

 

From my mother's side: Indian and Scottish

From my father's side: Lebanese and Cuban

 

 

I am african american, but i dont fit the modern stereotype at all but i get basty looks everywhere i go. It sucks to have such a big stereotype that you dont fit into...

 

Sounds like you want to fit a stereotype to attract less attention, but don't stress appearance as much as character. I'm a soft-spoken, light-skinned Jamaican who breaks virtually every stereotype associated with Jamaicans.

 

Stereotypes generalize traits of a certain "type" of person, but no person is a "type". People are unique. Just be yourself and live your life.

As far back as our recorded family history goes (actually back to the 1400s...) we have been. My father's side has ALWAYS lived in Naples and my mother's side has lived in various villages and towns on the southern coast for as long as has been recorded.

 

So as far as I care, 100%.

It isn't impossible. My family is the same. We're all 100% Italian, though, my children are probably gonna be Australian, because when I have children, I plan to live in Australia.
