Banana. I have a thing about naming things after fruit. Can't explain it. Also, bananas are pretty awesome. You can peel 'em just by yanking on the stem. How frikken cool is that?

No matter what kind of hamster I would name the girl Squishanthemum and I'd give the boy a predator name. Like Tiger, Lion, Potato or Hawk.

Anyway, I would name him Matthias after the mouse warrior from Brian Jaques' Redwall. Well, it's better than my original idea of going with Hamtaro at any rate...

I would give my hamster the name of a gentleman. Sir Luscious Frederick Hamnarrow the third. I'd dress him up in a top hat, a little monocle, put him in a suit, and give him a little cane.

Just what I always wanted. My own little hamster. I will name him George, and I will hug him and pet him and squeeze him...

 

Looney Tunes references aside, I would probably actually name my Hamster something like Karkat, or Kanaya....maybe Vriska? A homestuck troll name seems like it would make a good hamster name, and I'm not sure why.

I had the best Hamster ever. I got her from Petco as a baby. They said if I donated $5 to their pet charity, I could pick one to take home with me. I named her Mushroom and I always called her Mush Mush. She'd run around in the bathroom while I was doing my hair, or fall asleep in my shirt pockets. 

 

She wasn't drinking enough water one day and she developed blockages. But I rushed her to the ER that had an exotic vet on hand. They gave her baytrill and told me good luck. But the Doc actually took me aside and said: "You know...you must have a real passion for animals. I don't think anyone in their right mind would bring their hamster to get medical attention."

Because putting military ranks in your pet's name is hilarious. Seriously, try it. Give your pet a name with a rank and a ridiculously cute name, like "Admiral Fuzzyboots", "Sergeant Mittens" or "General Tinkles". It's awesome.

I'd probably give them a name based on an object that sounds cute, or a human name that isn't very common like "Oscar".

I'd name them Hamu! It means 'ash' in my language, Starts like 'hamster', means 'ham' in Japanese (because naming animals after meat based foods is cute )... a pretty international name in my opinion.

I would call it Brillo because I always wanted a furry little thing to call Brillo. A hamster seems like a good fit for such a name. Maybe I could pour a little soap on its back and wash my dishes with him.  :-P
