I like taking the stairs to get exercise, but elevators are fun to ride on haha. ^_^ You'd think I'd be afraid of both stairs and elevators considering I fell down the stairs when I was about 5 or 6 (amazingly I didn't get hurt), and I got stuck in an elevator for about 30 minutes to an hour when I was 8 or 9 (too many people got on; it was kind of fun to be honest haha), but I'm not. I voted elevators since its way more fun. I love jumping up and down on elevators too; I know I'm weird. xD

Definitely elevators.

Stairs require a lot of effort to climb, and I can't bear the post-stairs exhaustion. Elevators.

... Also, obligatory reference only a select audience will get:

Stairs all the way. I have experienced problems with elevators and I don't want to take the risk again lol. I'm not afraid or anything to go on them, it's just that I actually love to run up long stairs haha and I don't know... I take the stairs when I can just in case :P

The very reason I hate elevators as well. I got stuck on one at my school for a time and I hated it.... Also the other day the elevator at my college was broken down so yeah the stairs are for me.

I prefer taking the stairs. For whatever reason, I've always had a fear that the elevator will get stuck, as it does happen. Not to mention elevators can get pretty crowded and I have some slight claustrophobia, especially for elevators that aren't glass. With stairs, I can go at my own pace and they're usually less crowded. It's also a lot healthier to take the stairs and burn off some calories. :)

Hmmm, with those choices I'd pick a jet pack, but realistically stairs.

I don't want to become even more lazy by always taking elevators or escalators. Having some exercise could do me wonders. Overall, stairs for the win.

Usually take the stairs to burn off a few extra calories, really depends on the situation though :)

I'm surprised escalators aren't one of the choices.  They are the path of least resistance, after all.  ;)

I like taking the stairs for the exercise benefit if time allows.  But getting to work in the morning and from lunch usually means I have to take the elevator to be on time.  But coming up from the subway outside my building involves 55 steps by itself and I never wait for the single ADA elevator there.

Stairs. I’ve seen enough horror movies to not like Elevators. Plus I’ve seen a lot of stores around this area with elevators with expired certification stickers. Like way past expired. Delaware truly not be given af.

Stairs, screw waiting for the lift and then being on it with a bunch of people, I have places to be :Cozy:

That said lifts are necessary and welcome. Disability is only a matter of time for a lot of us.

I've always generally taken the stairs. But I especially don't use the elevators at work, they break down often enough that I'd definitely get stuck in one if I used them everyday. Only a matter of time. mlp-tderp.png.2a12a9171ec5a16142cfd2dfad393b93.png

Jetpacks always, I will use lifts if I'm carrying or need to move something big or heavy or it's a lot of floors but I generally prefer the stairs as I've always had a fear of getting stuck in one. I kind of don't know how I never got stuck in one of the lifts at the place I used to work at as they were pretty run down and always breaking down, the fact that they'd lost the key that let you go to the basement floor and you were required to take a spoon to turn the lock instead never filled me with confidence.
