First bun, then patty, followed by cheese, mayo, ketchup, mustard, relish, pickles, a light dusting of cayenne and black pepper and bun, in that order. Occasionally I'll add bacon to the mix.

Home I like bacon, mushrooms sauteed with vinegar and onions, provolone cheese, and a nice homemade patty on a ciabatta roll. If it's fast food, I like swiss cheese, mushrooms, and bacon. Five Guys is my favorite fast food place, but I definitely prefer making my own burgers.
