I probably said this before in an earlier post, but I'm all for the Princesses and Shining Armor, especially considering how they were treated by the writers in the Season 6 finale. I do hope they get more screen time in the Season 7 premiere to make up for it after being the heroes in the Season 6 premiere.

My overall favourite: Rainbow Dash (due to being the most relatable to me, being the reason the mane six got their cute marks (thanks to her Sonic Rainboom) (and thus forging the connection with the rest of the mane six and preventing Equestria from being turned into a lifeless wasteland (as shown in the S5 finale)), being true to her element (loyalty), being a great inspiration and sister for scootaloo, etc.)

Evidently the community on this site doesn't agree. It seems Derpy is the most popular by far.

Why?  Who knows?  Everyone has their own reasons, but whatever their reasons may be the numbers speak for themselves.

 

Derpy has 1,358 votes (at this time), the only pony even coming close is Luna with 1,126.  Twilight hardly even registers next to those.  The result might be different if they were all in a single category of course.

Rainbow Dash has been my favorite pony ever since I became a Pegasister. I love her not only because of her personality, but I also love her rainbow mane and I'm crazy about rainbows. ( Not sure why lol ) Rainbow Dashie will always be my favorite pony!! But Applejack is my second favorite because she's a cowgirl, ( a little like me ) and I love how her and Dash are always competing against each other.

My favorite is Twilight Sparkle. She's a bit of a homebody unless her friends drag her out or she gets bored. She's skeptical, intelligent, and always willing to learn more about the world around her. She's also a fellow bilbiophile. Besides, despite the creepy factor, I actually find it pretty adorable when she freaks out.

It's so difficult to choose between Pinkie and Rarity so I'll just say both.    It's always fun to see in the episodes as she's so positive and energetic that it makes me smile too. Rarity is such a pleasure to see as well, she has a gracious personality and a charming way of speaking. Owning a cat is also definitely positive!

DEFINITELY Rainbow Dash. She's almost flawless, only thing about her (that I know of) is her attitude after winning or losing. But hey, a flawless character isn't a good character. She's so fucking adorable, and she makes cute cats on the internet look like blob fish. The little squeak to her voice is the best sound in the world. Her cuteness level is Brawl Metaknight.
