At what age did you first learn about sex?

I didn't fully understand sex till I was about 12 and that was via school.

It's funny to think I used to think girls have boy parts (lol). And when I was really young, I thought that pregnancies happened via a husband and a wife kissing for a long period (like several minutes at least).

My parents never had "the talk" with me. They just expected that I knew about it by a certain age. I remember once during the period when my knowledge of sex was half-formed, I was afraid my sister might become pregnant because she had accidentally used one of my shower towels to dry off after we played with water guns. I didn't say anything to my sister and instead told my mom about my fear. She just laughed and asked me if the school had never given us sex education.

Hell, must've been like 13 or 14. My mom sat down with my sisters to have "the talk", but I guess my dad decided it wasn't important enough to do for his two sons. And we didn't have a lot of ways of finding out, honestly. I was homeschooled, went to a very protective church, and had no friends or social interactions outside of those.

How did I find out, you ask?

...Internet stuff.

I learned about it when I was 2, but I didn't fully understand it, till I hit 9-12.

I was 12 when my mom sat me down and had the talk lol. But she didn’t tell me everything...I picked up on all the “lingo” and what not over my teenage years. Keep in mind I was homeschooled my whole life...so the internet kind of had a hand in that. And high school kids I hung out with.

And honestly, I kinda already knew what sex was long before my preteen years.

Well, I helped breed my first calf at 10 so kinda safe to say I knew it all by then especially because I already knew some stuff from stuff I'd heard at school and helping deliver calves before.

Well, I tell hyu what! I've had me a lotta anatomy classes! Raised a goshdarn ton of animals! Reckon I can garuntee I'm purt near twice as old as the vast majority of nearly every poster on this site!            ……

Nope. Never had that Talk. Still don't know a thing about sex.

I can only assume from the few lewd jokes I've hurriedly changed the channel from that it works roughly like how most Ikea Furnniture is made.

 But a probably cleaner process.

Beatings & Salivations Everybeing!   Creativity is something blatantly important to me as is no doubt evidenced by the 28 OCs I have posted here of the some forty plus I have, they're linked altogether at the bottom of my About Me page in my Profile & I would deeply cherish anything you wish to say about them! Among which of those I am proudest most of is my Draconequusona, His/My Ask Thread  and my Hydra, Gallimaufry or "Mauf" and their own Ask Thread!  Either way, sufficed to say, I am quite confident I have more OCs than you! Crazier to! Do You have a tatzelpony?! No, I rather think you don't! Hew-Hew-hew!

I guess that means sex as in sexual intercourse rather than sex as in like similar to gender.

I can't remember maybe sometime at school.

I never belived the stork or whatever brings baby stuff. By year 3 at least they told about sex and before that idk I had a rough idea that baby comes from mum and dad together some how. Not exactly how but I knew ye.

May 2, 2015. This thread.

So that's what sex means? :ooh:

Spoiler

My parents told me and my brother where children comes from, multiple times. I also remember they telling our younger fake siblings, and also reading about it in a book, quite graphical as well. How old was I? Toddler level.

I once had this friend in elementary school whose dad was an amateur porn director.  He literally had a full wall, from floor to ceiling all of porn videos he filmed with his friends and clients and of course my friend being proud of her dad watched the videos when I was there.  So yeah...  Learned about sex pretty early on.  I don't think I ever told my mom about my friend's dad, come to think of it, kinda slipped my mind but I didn't really want to be at her house after that.  My mom never gave either my brother or me "the talk" even though she was a med student for a while and probably could've given a better talk than my school did but there she was, "your school can talk about it, I don't have to"...  Gee, thanks mom.  My school was pretty much talking about periods and pregnancy, never really going into the process of making the baby, besides "sperm fertilizes the egg", etc.  I think my education on the topic from school was pretty crappy and I've learned more actually talking to people about it than I ever did from school.

Probably about 10 or so, maybe even younger. I remember I read about it in an old encyclopaedia.

Probably around 14 or 15.   My mom left it to my dad to give the talk and he never really did lol.  So I kinda just learned things at school from other kids after getting teased for not knowing lol.

Okay, that didn't work as well as love.

Also in Swedish, the word "sex" means the number 6! No different spelling between them.

When I was ~7 I came across some banner or ad about sex, which turned out to be leading to the pron site:sealed:

Thought at first I thought it was really painful. I mean, man, foreign body goes inside another body, it's gotta be painful, right?

I've known about it since I was really little. My parents never had to give me the talk because it always seemed an obvious thing to me. It was never something to be hidden and I just knew about it without ever really knowing when or how I learned it. Like learning how to walk or talk. It was just there.

Well it is interesting, when I was a kid I had a girl that had the hots for me you could say so she would talk about it to my kid self though. So no it wasn't like that haha, I mean I guess I don't remember I began doing you know self exploration at the age of eleven. Though I knew of this phenomenon called sex but to me I always considered it being more about love and that connection you have with that special someone. Therefore as a result I never really thought of sex that way, yet I always knew the technicalities of it of course just my idea of sex wasn't the actual intercourse rather the event of two people coming together bound by love and as such would make love. Yet sex as in sex, I learned of probably age of ten I mean could have been younger though to be honest I do not for the life of me remember. I was a biology nerd or a nerd in general so I knew the functions of two reproductive organs well enough by a young age. It is more just that my idea of sex was not the same as breeding, my idea of sex was more I should say special haha.

Somewhere around 4-5.

"Watch the cows and if you still don't understand its in the World Book"

(World Book is an encyclopedia which I had discovered when I was learning to read...lots of diagrams and pictures if you don't understand the worded explanation, especially in the old set from '74)

Simple enough I guess. The old World book was...blunt? If that's a way to put it and had plenty of "See: "this section" " after each one.

I never thought much of it(aside from "oh so that's how that works" and "so that's what they were referring to on (TV show/Movie)), unlike most people in 7th grade when there was a short unit on it as part of biology, when to my surprise, some hadn't known about it or had a "cute" explanation.
