Hypothetical Question: MLP just got cancelled. How do you react?

Since my post on page 1 was extremely melodramatic, here's a remake!

I would be disappointed, but I would know that it had to end someday. After a few days of sadness I would just go on on my merry way.

You see, back on Page 1, that was in Feburary. Since then, Ponies have given me a knew outlook on life. No more melodrama for me!

I would resort to the fan made videos.Although I would be disappointed by the shows cancellation, I would be happy if the fandom survives the entire period instead of ending before the show itself.

Oh my. No doubt my autonomic side would sink into a dark and abysmal sadness that would hang over my head and twist my heart ad nauseum. It would be compounded by the idea that I only really started the show less than a week ago. "Was I too late?" I'll ask myself repeatedly, "Maybe if I had just gotten into it the first time I saw ponies, maybe months ago..." will ring in my head for days on end. I'll wish that time could go back, that maybe I could have enjoyed it all in peaceful bliss if given the chance.

 

Logically though, if the show was suddenly cancelled, the fanbase is thousands strong. The turnout seen at BronyCon was nothing compared to the immense number of bronies that live on this planet. Tens of thousands of bronies worldwide would not be a crazy estimate. Every day, more people join in the herd, and even if the show stops right now...Think about the time between seasons. When a season ended, massive tears were had by all when they know they've had all the official ponytime they're getting for now. No new content came out for months, but did that stop people from witnessing the magic and joining the culture? No way! There are endless possibilities for our continued happiness with MLP:FiM. Imagine fan-made continuations of the show, fanfictions, roleplays, games, music, even small animations made by dozens of groups simultaneously. Even if the hub/Hasbro decided to stop MLP right now, they couldn't dream of stopping the fanbase.

 

That being said, it's entirely likely that in the coming years, the brony community will shrink. Sure, many of us will keep our "broniness" at heart, but as we move on with our lives, we'll see less activity with ponies. That day is a good while from now, but it is there. It's best not to ignore it, but don't fear it. Gaze in awe at the beauty you see around you right now. Stand in shock as the reality of all the circumstances that had to line up for this to happen sinks into your mind. Treasure how much good it brought, but know that such a beautiful thing can and will happen again, but likely in another form or way.

Ehhhh, not incredibly terrible. As long as it ends with some dignity and quality stuff, I'll be fine. I'd rather have it end quickly with the awesomeness that it is now rather than let it degrade to something stupid, like Spongebob has done to itself.

I would not b that devastated , the show itself is good but i think the Main attraction is the Fandom (i also enjoy the comics alot more)

It would suck but it wouldn't be the end of the world. I'd probably stay active on mlpforums though seeing as the community is so cool in general. We'd just have to rely more on the talents of these kind of people for annual episodes haha

...but then I'd probably mellow out again. I have enough faith in the community that we can keep the pony legacy going for decades with our own works. After all, look at other fandoms that are still strong even long after their shows got cancelled.

But if they decide to end MLP all together, I'd be pretty upset, Someday I may grow out of MLP. Or I'll just start watching more anime.

But seriously i'm going to be pretty sad when MLP ends or gets canceled or whatever. That said I'll have to get over it eventually, and I'll still probably stick around here because of the nice people.

I wouldn't react too much, because after the show is canceled we will still be here. They would basically start on the production of G5 My Little Pony, it would be better to carry the tradition from generation to generation. I wouldn't say the same for Spongebob, since that show is basically getting murdered with new episodes because of Nick.

At first I'd be sad, but move on. I would love the series to go at least out with some closure and give a proper ending to the series instead of just ending on the eternal cliffhanger that just angers me so much.

I would probably live in denial for quite a long time then end up re-watching all of the episodes...just as a reminder of one of the good things that have come out of this world. 

Then I would probably move on but still keep my pony collection for memories.

I would be upset, but all good things come to an end eventually, we still have the fandom even if the show is not still going and i guess although i would be upset i could accept it and soldier on.
