If you told your past self you would like My Little Pony, how would they react?

"Haha, seriously? But I hate that show with every bone in my body," I say, my disposition becoming more irascible by the moment. "Why, I even took a personal vow never to jump on the bandwagon!"

"Veritable as that may be," future me argues, "you cannot deny that you are partial to children's cartoons. Take Lion King, for example."

"But...but this is My Little Pony we're talking about! The style looks so stupid and the colours are so garish that it's practically blinding to look upon, and besides, it's a show for little girls. Not to mention that it's everywhere and subsequently incredibly annoying!"

"Do you ever think that perhaps it's everywhere because it's just that good?" future me says with a smile, sliding his hand into the breast of his overcoat.

I blanch, looking at future me with increasing worry. "What are you doing? Look, I'm sorry. It's just not my cup of tea, all right?" I plead, practically falling to my knees. "I don't like the show; just don't go pulling a weapon on me because of it."

With one deft motion, future me pulls out a DVD of the first season, depositing it into my trembling hand. "Give it a chance," he says as he dons his hat, quietly slipping out of my bedroom window and taking off into the night. Uncertainty lacing my heart, I insert the DVD into my computer, not knowing the depths of what I'm getting myself into...

I guess that would depend on how old my past self was that I was telling this to. If it was say, 10 year-old me, I probably would have said, "Ew, yuck, girl stuff! What's wrong with you?" If it was say, my 18 year old self, I probably wouldn't have a problem with it.

I actually do remember watching G1 with my sisters way back when, and I know I didn't hate it. So maybe I wouldn't react too badly.

If anything, I would have been more intrigued that my future self was having a conversation with me.

I would literally react by ROFL and say thats not going to happen. I used to think less of guys for watching mlp fim and was borderline antibrony. I used to make fun of one of my friends for being a brony before they got me to watch one episode and later that same day I was on season 2 and I thought to myself crap I think I'm a brony and eventually I just came to accept it.

My reaction would depend on when I would be told. If it was before I heard about the current FiM show and bronies, I would be very surprised, thinking it would be girly and stupid. If I had been told after I found out about the show and bronies, I would probably still be surprised, but I would be more open minded.

Though I think my past self would be more confused how my future self got there.

I watched a clip of secret of my excess in about 2012/13 when I slammed the lid on my laptop because I was loving it. Before, I hated it. Even after, I didn't watch it for years until recently. I probably would have questioned my entire library of things I like or don't like if I knew I would be watching it nonstop for hours on end and saying this right now on an MLP forum site.

It realy depends on if its just a message that I send or i do it in person, if I do it in person then I'd believe it right away and ask about it. If its a letter or email, I would throw away the message after I'm done reading it half way through and then instantly write it off as a prank or joke.

He would start by laughing at me. He would then ask if I was gay (younger me was very homophobic, luckily I am not anymore), and finally, he would be disgusted by what he was going to become. Then time would crack because of the huge paradox I created, and the Doctor would sacrifice himself by fly the Pandorica into the exploding time to heal everything.

My past self would automatically love MLP!!

Not because of the quality of show. . . no. . . that's diving too deep.

Former me would've love MLP solely because it is colourful.

*Former me ate A LOT of LSD and other hallucinogenic substances everyday.

I guess it really depends on how old My past self is when I visit her. If I visited myself as a really little girl, my past self would be pretty cool with it. If it was my ten year old self, I'd probably be insulted by my past self.

I doubt my past self would be appalled or even surprised. I've never been your stereotypical male; I like pink, glittery things...I love stuffed animals...as a kid I played house and owned Polly Pocket sets.

Humans are a lie, there are only ponies. Through ponies, I gain friendship.

Through friendship, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory.

Through victory, my chains are broken. Ponies shall set me free.

Well. I can answer this....

As I looked into the eyes of my past self, he would look back at me with nary a stubble on his chin, gazing at my glorious bearded visage. Saying with a stern and understood tone, I would state to him, "You will like the new My Little Pony show in the distant future young me. You will love it, and it shall be glorious." Staring back at me with a fist raised high to the air, he would call out to the world, "MY LITTLE PONY WILL BE GLORIOUS!" Then I will disappear with a flash of light and the world will know that I am forever a Brony. Throughout the annals of time it shall be recorded as fact. So well known, that nothing could dowse the undying passion for pony within my soul in this life or the next, or even the next.

^ That up there is my answer. Good question by the way.

Well after I calmed down from realization of the space-time paradox, I probably wouldn't take it too seriously, as past me and present me are really, really sarcastic.
