Party Favor obviously.  I mean he was able to make binoculars and a stable bridge out of balloons in seconds you guys.  Seconds!

That is all kinds of awesome. And yeah he kind of is the party pony equivalent to McGyver.

Night Glider was pretty gorgeous looking. She's got that swept hair look that a lot of the female Wonderbolts seem to have. Potential Wonderbolt recruit?

 

Sugar Belle was cute. Kind of lazy naming from the writers — sugar is sweet(ie).

 

Party Favor was kind of funny. I liked all the balloon things.

 

Double Diamond was pretty cool once he got his skis back.

 

Overall my vote is for Night Glider.

 

 

Sugar actually looked less cute after she got her mark back. Still cute, but not like Night.

 

You know, I thought that too. Or rather, her colour scheme was better once she got her cutie mark back, but her hairstyle was better when she was equal.

I'm torn between Double Diamond and Night Glider. If I had to pick just one though, I'd have to say Night Glider. When she flew in after getting her cutie mark back and busted down the door to Starlight's house, my first thought was "I like this mare!"

Can't we like them all? I remember looking at the trailer and thinking "Wow. These ponies are gonna be really one-dimensional if all they do is just stand there and smile talking about how great everything is." But nope, even before getting their marks back, the likes of Sugar Belle and Party Favor actually had some great character to them, and they even played the whole creepy 'One of us' idea really well, specially down in the basement.

 

I thought some of their talents were just a little contrived. Like Favor with his 4 second balloon bridge and binoculars (What.) and Diamond conveniently being an expert skier when it was best, though it did make for a pretty awesome chase sequence so whatever.

 

Night Glider does look very pretty though, white manes are so under appreciated. Also I'm guessing she has the same stylist as the Wonderbolts because I couldn't stop thinking of her in Spitfire's voice every time I saw her. Kinda wish she had a bit more interaction with Dash and Flutters though.

 

Overall, I'd love to see them all again, for characters-of-the-day they had a surprising amount of time and care put into them, and that reflects well, they could have easily just made them as forgettable as possible by the end of the episode, but I know that ain't their style, and I really hope we see some more of them in the future. A ponyville visit perhaps? Make it happen!

I loved Sugar Belle while she had the sameness cutie mark, after that she kind of lost her appeal to me. Her uncertainty and muted colors were what I liked, but I guess it wasn't really Sugar Belle I was looking at, right?

The same goes for Party Favor. I liked his personality, but he was a bit overpowered after getting his talents back. Those balloon abilities might just have come from a need to get things done quickly by the writers, but I wasn't fond of them. Pinkie's reaction was cute, though.

 

Double Diamond was pretty cool, as was Night Glider. I can't pick a favorite between the two of them.

 

I really liked all of these characters, though. Thumbs up from me.

I really respect Party Favor for sacrificing himself for Sugar Belle and Night Glider when Fluttershy was supposed to divulge the names of those guilty of thoughtcrime to Starlight. He was willing to be ostracized and incarcerated for those two mares, showing that he was beginning to understand an important part of true friendship--sacrifice and compromise for people you care about. And eventually he learned the importance of one's uniqueness in friendship too when he made those awesome balloon structures.

Sugar Belle for the girls given she took the chance to talk to the mane six

to even talk to them!  I also love her design from being a Equal to her full

bright colors.

 

Party Favor is a good male strong lead in willing to be the lamb to slaughter

to save his friends!   The balloon thing did make me laugh a bit also in

Umm all or other I guess? They were alright, but I really didn't connect with/care about them.  I tend to do this with all background ponies so I'm not against them, it's just they didn't really leave an impression on me.

This is a really, really hard choice.

 

Sugar Belle is drop-dead adorable in her design and voice, even when she's under the spell and making nothing but muffins, muffins, muffins, muffins, and muffins. I guess she'd get my vote considering she owns that.

 

Party Favor is for all intents and purposes another male Pinkie Pie, except with slightly reduced Cloudcuckoolander tendencies, and I find him more adorable than Cheese Sandwich.

 

Double Diamond is just awesome, with the skiing and air drop and whatnot.

I had a tough time choosing between Night Glider and Sugar Belle.

 

 

I loved them both, but Night Glider gets the vote in the poll for me.

You know what we need? An official fan name to call the group as a whole, just like we call the six main characters the Mane Six. Let's get suggestions and hold a vote for the ones we like the most. I propose we call them the Equartet ("equal" + "quartet").

 

That said, this is a topic about favorite ponies and it'd be obnoxious if I didn't post anything related, so mine is Sugar Belle, hands down. She's simply adorable!
