This is a list in descending order of my favourite games. The order of these is not really set in stone, but I highly doubt anything in the top 5 is going to shift dramatically.

I added an extra two positions for a few games I really liked but they couldn't push their way into the top ten. I really liked the villain from Ib (you might see a little of her design in my icon) and the game as a whole was just brilliant considering it was made in RPG maker. Touhou, I love the bullet hell shooter, but the other games just pull ahead in the list for some reason or another.

Why everyone loves half-life 2 so much is beyond me.

 

1) Half-life

2) Osu!

3) Metroid Prime 2

4) Metroid Prime 3

1) WWE Smackdown Here Comes The Pain - The roster is excellent, plus the amount of stuff you can do is much more in this game is higher than any wrestling game in history.

 

2) Kingdom Hearts 2 - The only RPG that seemed to grab my attention. Sure, there's less worlds, less keyblades and the difficulty was lowered a bit, but some of the battles took my breath away.

 

3) Dynasty Warriors 4 - Soundtrack wise, the best in the series, and Lu Bu is actually a pain to beat.

 

4) Hogs of War - This is a pretty underrated game. It's tons of fun with friends, plus Rik Mayall's voice work is brilliant.

 

5) Sonic The Hedgehog (1991) - This is one game I have enjoyed, yet failed to beat.It's on the PS Store, so I might pick it up again.

 

6) GTA IV - This is one game that I don't play much, but it's quite a lot of fun to raise hell whilst taking a break from missions.

 

7) UFC Undisputed 3 - This is one game that I played the demo of which made me decide to get the game. It's very realistic, the KO's are brilliant and the blood is a nice feature to tell you that you're on the verge of defeat.

 

8) Batman Arkham City - Like UFC Undisputed 3, the demo impressed me enough to make me get the game. The movement is fluid, and Batman has many ways to take out thugs who try to take him down.

 

9) Pokemon Soul Silver - This game has a special place in my heart. It's a remake of Silver, with all the elements from the old game left intact. The old soundtrack even makes an appearance in the form of GB Player.

 

10) Team Fortress 2 - This game is an example of how a free-to-play shooter should be run. The drop system is nice, and there's a ton of hats, plus there's the guns from achievements which allow you to up your game.

1. Dark Souls - What a game, despite only two years of development I am qutie impressed with how well this game was made despite it's most glaring flaw of using peer-to-peer for PvP. The music added something that helped immerse you into a fight, no matter how easy or hard the boss was. The subtle story made it even more great since almost everything was a key part to uncovering the history and blends in with the dark atmosphere. 

 

2. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes - I just prefer the music, map layout, and boss fights in this one...despite the bomb guardian destroying you on veteran mode. 

 

3. Ty the Tasmanian Tiger - AAARGH I WILL BEAT YOU WITH A BOOMERANG AND BITE YOU WITH MY SHINY WHITE TASMANIAN TIGER TEETH! All bad jokes aside, it was a great game and no doubt had great direction both music and story line. RIP Gamecube/PS2/Xbox era, you will be missed. 

 

4. The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker - I don't understand why a decent amount don't like this game, it is no doubt one of my favorites because I love the toonish style, has a better progressing story, and also because bird people, who doesn't love bird people? I also loved a majority of the temples...except Trial of the gods or whatever it's called, that temple can go buck itself.

 

5. Minecraft - Bacon...that is all

 

6. Demon's Souls - I think it's sheer brutality compared to most games kept me interested plus I like screaming my head off as Flamelurker's power level literally goes over 9000 and False King Allant stole my levels away, rendering some of my gear useless. Great PvP system that was far more balanced and honorable than Dark Souls

 

7. Muramasa: The Demon Blade - Art direction was perfect and I think the music managed to keep me in playing and the story. Who doesn't want to go to hell just to learn you went there for no reason and got to go back to find what you are looking for? 

 

8. Cave Story - Robots and guns in a sexy bit style, nuff said

 

9. Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth - MYSTICAL WOMEN WARRIORS WITH BOOBIEEEEEEEES  

 

10. Call of Duty: World at War - I would dare call this the most balanced Call of Duty ever made, just get rid of Juggernaut and not only do you got a real balanced MP, but you still got good ole zombies and probably a better story than most in the series. FOR MOTHER RUSSIA!!!!!
