Theory What's in the box?

So the box with 6 keys...it's killing me I gotta know! Do you have a theory on what's in the box or what will happen when it's open? I want to know what the fans think, as the fan base has predicted things about the show before. So let's have this thread be an open idea machine. If you have a theory, no matter how absurd or out there, let it be heard!

 

Here's mine: Each of the mane 6 so far have gained a key from a newly introduced character, these characters will come back somehow and open the box themselves. Heck maybe the key givers will turn into Alicorns instead of the mane 6! Thoughts and theories?

I concur with this post.  Its unknown.  However, I hope it takes about 5 more seasons to find out what it is.  Basically after 1 season, 1 key is revealed, but that's a whole different discussion.

Yeah, I definitely think it's the rainbow power. Would make sense because of the rainbow shine they see when they learn a lesson that portrays to their elements. I'm guessing the items they get from ponies turn into keys, unlocking the box and revealing the power. So while they scramble around looking for keys in the season finale, they had keys all along.

My theory at the beginning of the season was that they'd be putting things into the box, not getting them out. And then they started getting these special objects .. and while those objects may be (probably are) hidden keys, I'd still love to see my original prediction pan out.

I'm going out on a limb here and saying the box will use the power of the elements to create another type of empire where Twilight will stay at, similar to Celestia and Luna in Canterlot and Cadance at the Crystal Empire. It sounds crazy but who knows.

OMC! (that stand for oh my celestia) I think that there also could be the keys transformation in new elements of harmony. That or the fact that they get all turned into unicorns.
