  1. Sunset Shimmer (from Rainbow Rocks to Legend of Everfree): She was so boring in those movies. A character who is always sympathetic and right about everything is not interesting to me Alicorn Twilight: People say that she hasn't changed, but I don't see that. She's become much less interesting and much more boring. Pinkie (after season 5): Nowadays, she is rarely funny and screeches every line. Her voice was so soothing and nice in seasons 1-3, but now she's so obnoxious. Tirek: He's such a bland villain. All he does is act powerfully and destroy stuff.
  2. An MLP game on the same level of the show. I doubt it'll happen for G4, but maybe it's happen for G5?
  3. June 2017. I was bored while watching Netfilx, so I thought "why not?" and starting watching with "Winter Wrap Up". By "Suited For Success" I was hooked.
  4. These are my favorites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vN_VUQE9OOs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRx_iXgLAyw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obJ21k3Hylo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7PQ9IO-7fU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jW5n3k2VgZE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aY1XpTzLn0A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBgKP5erzWQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDMGv3hNMes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijzMnFr-8Tc
  5. I prefer unicorn Twilight. The alicorn change did only bad things for her. Not only was it pointless since "Once Upon a Zeppelin" is the only episode that has taken advantage of Twilight being a princess in a good way, but it also ruined Twilight's character. Twilight lost all of her snark and anger after season 3, so the show pushes her only flaw left, neurosis, up to 11. When she isn't freaking out, she's acting as a boring voice of reason. There are exceptions like "Three's a Crowd" and "No Second Prances", but those are a vast minority. Alicorn Twilight feels more idealistic while unicorn Twilight felt more realistic.
  6. First day of school today, so not very good. Some classes were fine, but most weren't. 4/10
  7. I don't watch many brony youtubers, mostly because I don't really like most of them. Drowning in Horseshoes is amazing, but that series ended, so I guess my favorite that still uploads is DWK. Almost all of his videos are pure comedic gold and I find him a better analyst than most of the brony youtubers who call themselves analysts, despite DWK not liking being called that. I should also give mention to lowponview. He makes the only sins videos that I actually find entertaining (I even like them more than cinemasins) and his review videos are even better. He's only gotten better over time.
  8. I prefer the older seasons. While season 1 might've been too simple, it along with season 2 and 3 have a charm that none of the seasons after can match. It also helps that seasons 2 and 3 have a lot of really great episodes. Also, they're the only seasons with unicorn Twilight, who is a much more interesting character than alicorn Twilight. And I prefer the animation of seasons 1-3 despite how stilted the animation is in early season 1. It just seems more cartoony and fun compared to the much flatter look of 4-8.
  9. I don't like this episode for a couple reasons. Most notably, this episode is boring. The episode makes it painfully obvious that Sludge is not Spike's father, so any tension about that is ruined. On top of that, Sludge is about as generic an antagonist as you can get. He shows up to manipulate Spike into doing what he wants and to live in a castle. He's not over the top or really sinister, he's just a boring fat tub of lard. Also, I feel like the focus and pacing of the episode is off. The pacing is off because a few things could've been cut down significantly. The montage of the mane six helping Sludge get back on his feet not only wasn't funny, but also went on for way too long. Same with Sludge's fake backstory. The focus is off in that I feel like Sludge should've told Spike he was his father earlier. What happens in act 2 with Sludge showing Spike how to be a dragon should've been much earlier and I feel like Twilight and Smolder should've had more of a part. More could've been done with the contrast between Twilight and Sludge in terms of Sludge being a dragon parent while Twilight is a pony parent. Twilight could've had introspective moments about this and gone to talk with Smolder to ask what she should do. Instead the episode goes for the generic approach. There's a lot of wasted potential here. The only thing I like is the song, but that's not much. Score: 1/10
  10. This episode is bad. It's very shallow and has really bad pacing Starting with the writing, every single line and joke feels forced and artificial. Like the writers were putting so much effort into making their interactions feel natural that they end up feeling unnatural. This plagues all of Applejack and Fluttershy's interactions along with Autumn Blaze. It comes off like it's trying way too hard to be quirky and cute instead of actually being quirky and cute leading to a lot of bland jokes and a personality that screams "haha she's talking quickly and is really enthusiastic, isn't she so quirky?" The story also sucks. The episode sets it up like Applejack and Fluttershy are going to solve the problem for the Kirin, but no. Autumn Blaze is the one who ends up convincing the Kirin to talk again. All Applejack and Fluttershy do is find the plant needed for them to talk. Instead of the second act being Applejack and Fluttershy working with Autumn Blaze to make the Kirin want to talk, it's spent with Applejack and Fluttershy split up and with Fluttershy having nothing to do. I have no idea why the entire second act is spent on Autumn Blaze's backstory, but it's really bad since it doesn't move the story along and isn't funny. And even when it's over, the argument Applejack and Fluttershy have in the third act doesn't have enough time to be expanded upon, so it just feels pointless and rushed. It makes me thing the writers just wanted to show off Rachel Bloom and wrote the episode around her instead of naturally incorporating her into the story. I'll admit that the lesson of anger not automatically being a bad thing is a good thing to teach kids and adults alike, but the episode around it is so bad that it doesn't bring the episode up by that much. Score: 3/10
  11. This episode is fantastic. Most episodes only manage to have either strong comedy or strong drama, but this episode has both. We have great comedy with the members of The Washouts and with Spitfire hamming it up and we have compelling drama with Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash's relationship. I really like how Lightning Dust is portrayed here, keeping with her antagonistic role set up in "Wonderbolts Academy". I was worried the episode would try to redeem her, because this show is really bad at one episode redemptions. Thankfully, that didn't happen and now I want to see her again. Score: 10/10
  12. This is a fantastic episode. I feel like Starlight and Trixie have more chemistry than the mane six at this point because of how well they work off of each other in episodes like this and To Change a Changeling. Compared to "The End in Friend" where everything felt so tired and bland, Starlight and Trixie's interactions feel fresh and fun. It also helps that the writing is much better in this episode. The arguments are witty and the voice actresses nail every line. The song is also the best of the season, being a great homage to the "Road To" series of movies. Score: 10/10
  13. I don't like this episode. It feels like "Non Compete-Clause" except that episode at least had some ironically bad moments. This episode is just boringly bad. Both episodes have the same problem of exaggerating characters so the story can work, but where "Non-Compete-Clause" took it so far that there was a somewhat ironic enjoyment, this episode only took it far enough to be annoying. This episode is also extremely boring. The story is really predictable and Rarity and Rainbow Dash don't have very good chemistry. Their arguing isn't witty, or funny, or over the top enough to be funny. They're just uninteresting arguments. I've read fanfictions where Rarity and Rainbow Dash have had better chemistry. Furthermore, why are Twilight, Starlight, and the students here? They all feel so forced in. And it confuses me that the students are taking notes on ponies with different interests being friends. There's nothing really complex about that. I mean, the student six are filled with creatures with different interests that get along fine. I do like the weird animal Rarity and Rainbow Dash meet during their journey, but's there's not much here aside from that. Score: 3/10 I mentioned fanfictions showing Rarity and Rainbow Dash's chemistry better. Well, here's a story with a lot of them arguing, that's actually entertaining: https://www.fimfiction.net/story/341496/the-compromise
  14. Tibbles really should be in the show.
  15. My first console was a Wii, so there were a lot of games there. -Super Mario Galaxy -Super Smash Bros Brawl -Mario Party 8 -Mario Strikers Charged etc.
  16. I went through many different phases before MLP. I started getting into TV and movies as a whole around 2015 with "South Park". From there I jumped around through many different cartoons, with special notice to "The Simpsons", "Phineas and Ferb", and "The Loud House" (which I don't really like anymore), before getting into MLP last year.
  17. Incredibles 2. Ignoring the flashing lights, it was boring with only a few fun action scenes. Including the flashing lights, it was really annoying.
  18. I'm going through "The Golden Girls". I'm almost done with season 1 and I'm loving it.
