So what's your writing tool of choice? I tried to be as inclusive and specific as possible, but this insensitive clod probably missed something.

For myself, it has to be the mechanical pencil. It is such genius  when you examine it next to a regular pencil. It doesn't have graphite embedded in it, it's added into a chamber for temporary storage until it's needed. You don't need to pull out a pencil sharpener and try futilely to get a sharp point while the graphite breaks each time you get close. For a mechanical pencil, you click a button, shake the pencil or it might automagically feed out for you. Convenience and simplicity.

It doesn't have nearly the same amount of class as a fountain pen though, but I can't really use those anyway. They're great writing tools too, but I don't want to risk them leaking in my pocket... Since I'm so frequently on the move, that's my container for writing tools, usb dongles, etc.

I normally use the AK-47. Nothing writes better than some FMJ 7.62x39.

As for classroom writings, either the bizon pp-19 (in 9mm NATO), or the H&K mp5a5 (in 10mm auto).

and pencils, wooden pencils are cool.

Well, I used to favor mechanical pencils with 0.7 lead, but now with physical writing I go for ball point pens.  I prefer the hexagonal-shaped ones with blue ink.  Although I'm also pretty darn fast on the keyboard as well.  Is it weird that I'm that specific with my writing instruments? :P

I prefer a keyboard.  If I am not using a keyboard I end up most likely using a bic pen, but regardless my handwriting leaves much to be desired and I probably write out checks as often as I do other things written.

Blood.

Oh all right, I'll be serious! I prefer the keyboard, but when that's not available, I default to mechanical pencil.

Mechanical pencils. I pretty much use them for anything, from writing to drawing. The fact that you can use as much lead as you like instead of waiting for the pen/yellow pencil to run out helps a lot.

I use an Artline fine-line pen, usually around 0.4mm thickness, for drawing and writing alike. If nothing else it's a good excuse for my equally poor skills at both.

Quill and ink of course! Was there ever any other options?! Nah, jk jk! Too hard for me probably.

Just the classic Ballpoint pen will do for me. Mainly because I'm used to it. Though the pencil can be quite useful for precise sketching and shading that a pen could otherwise not do. But generally the ballpoint pen is my go to for just about anything!

I tried pen once, but a lot of things I write may require reorganization later, and you normally can't erase ink. I tried mechanical pencils, but sometimes the leads won't come out or get stuck inside.

Just the world's best pencil and a good sharpener do it for me :).
