gaming Games that made you ADDICTED

You know those types of games. The ones that keep you up all night, and the moment you wake up, you want to continue playing. We all have had these types of games in our lives. I personally find games like these to be wonderful because they invoke a passion within people that makes them want to keep playing it and enjoying it.

So we can now delve into this realm of non-stop gaming. What are some games, recent or not, that have made you addicted and wanting to keep playing?

Way back when, when Call of Duty was still decent, Black Ops 2 was a game I played nearly non-stop after its release, hitting the highest rank in the game just a couple of months later. I really, really enjoyed that game despite its flaws. Dynasty Warriors 4 on the PS2 was another one that made me stay up late a lot.

Back in 2012/2013, I became Addicted to Plants vs Zombies (PC Version) but then I stop becoming addicted to Plants vs Zombies because of My Mom, and since then I'm only allowed to played Plants vs Zombies if I feel like it or if I was bored.

I didn't really have a gaming addiction, but I remember once going crazy over one game when I was a kid. Memory of the whole story's rather shattered.

I was addicted to the first two generations of Pokemon games and Animal Crossing GCN. Maybe Super Smash Bros. Melee, too (and no, I wasn't competitive, and never will be). No game has really got me too addicted since.

Generally when I get a game I will play it obsessively to get through the story, but it will completely fall off the face of the planet in my mind after that, so I don't really count it as being addicted. I played the aforementioned games obsessively for very long amounts of time.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
grand-theft-auto-vice-city-11454.jpg

that game made me an addict) i played it all night long.
all day, every day... why? this is the only game of all, that waked me up in the middle of the night, just to think about what i can do there) none of other games did that to me, and i played tons of great games.. but this is the one.
the second one that affected me (not that high, but still), was

Call of Cthulhu: The Dark Corners of the Earth.

i even tried to write a book about similar stuff, but with funny things and jokes. but after a few pages, dropped it.

For me these are turn-based strategies: Heroes of Might and Magic 3 and 5, Disciples 2, Eador… I can get really hooked. “OK, just one more turn and I’ll go to bed… OK, just one more. And one more. Oh, it’s 3 a. m. already?” – that’s typical for me when I play those.

Also, Skyrim, but that was just a phase.

Definitely Minecraft as I get on to build stuff in my creative mode world on the weekend and when I finish I find out that I've been playing for over 5 hours!!! And seriously this is the longest time I've ever played Minecraft in a day so far!!! :)

It's been some years, but for me it was PC FPS games.  I've been playing those since the original Castle Wolfenstein.  I prefer the single-player games as I found people on multi-player games too mean.  I started losing interest after the first couple Battlefield and CoD games came out as I wasn't into the WWII themes.  Also consoles games were expanding while PC games were shrinking, and I don't do consoles; I hate the controllers.  But yeah, I'd be up 'til 3-4 am playing.

Currently it's Fallout 4....the mods keep me coming back.I'm always browsing the Nexus for new stuff to ad to my game. It's like crack. I don't think I could ever go back to Vanilla Fallout 4....mods make everything better.

But before that, it's been Black Ops 2 and other CoDs...to work on my journey to Prestige Master, gold and Diamond weapons.

But Also, GTA series, Red Faction Guerrilla Warfare and even Destiny.

Hyrule Warriors: Legends due to how many Adventure Maps that are featured in comparison to the original Wii U version. I've only complete two out of the ten so I know that I will be busy for many weeks ahead. I can also see myself becoming addicted to the new Pokémon games that will be releasing as of tomorrow.

I got sucked into TF2 really badly when I first found it.  I also played a lot of SSBM and SSBB.  Those 2 would be the only games that I played for most of the year.  I have also lost a few weekends to Hearts of Iron 3 when I get into a really good campaign.

I also got addicted to the boots on the ground Call of Duty games. Up until Ghosts. That game killed my addiction since it was bad. Never really managed to recover that ever since.

Nowadays my main addictions would be World of Tanks and Civilization. Grinding for those top tier tanks (also streaming) can get fun. Civilization because...

One...more...turn.

I was addicted too many games to count. Some I can name off the top of my head include:

1. Super Mario 64

2. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

3. 007: Goldeneye

4. Runescape (the only MMORPG I spent a lot of time on)

5. Fallout 3 and NV

6. Metal Gear Solid 3

7. Halo 3

8. Call of Duty: MW1, MW2, WaW, BO1, patricularly the Zombie games

9. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

10. Guitar Hero

Remember that game Candy Crush Saga? Yea, I was one of the people who got hooked on that game. I would probably even still enjoy it to this day. I loved how challenging it was, I really had to think for it.

In like 6th grade, I got Geometry Dash and I kept on playing it until I completed that super hard level that I was stuck on, and I'm still better than all of my friends at the game, and I have every level completed with all coins collected.

The game that ended my addiction to Geometry Dash was Smash 4. Ever since I saw PAC-MAN's reveal trailer for the first time I was SUPER hyped, even though I wasn't all that big a fan of PAC-MAN, but he looked soooooooooo much fun to use in the game. It wasn't until my birthday this year that I was able to access the game 100% of the time, because at the time I only had Brawl which my friend gave to me, which did teach me the fundamentals of Smash very well.

I'm not really a gamer now, but when I was a kid, I LOVED Super Mario Advance 2 on Game Boy Advance SP. I remember playing Donkey Kong Country and Sonic Advance 2 as well, but they didn't capture my attention as much.

There was a time when I was a total Sims 3 fanatic as well. :P
