Do you wear glasses/contacts?

I wear glasses on and off depending on what I'm doing. What do you use? or don't you?

I'm near sighted, so I have glasses so I can see far away. I have no problem doing things like reading.

I wear glasses pretty much all day. Granted, these are prescription reading glasses, but I someone who is either at the computer all day, or doing something else that requires them, so I tend to have them on.

Plus, I think I look rad in them.

I am 38 years old. I actually have NO memory of a time that I WASN'T wearing glasses. My vision is rather poor. I'm lucky in one aspect. My husband likes girls who wear glasses.

I've had glasses since I was 6, but the only time I ever use them is when I'm driving, on my computer, or doing anything that requires near perfect vision. The rest of the time I don't wear them. I can still see just fine without them, just can't read anything unless it's big or up close.

@Snowflake Frostflame I'm in the same boat as you are. Driving is the worst for me especially at night with oncoming traffic and dodging the wildlife

Yeah I've always had perfect vision in my life so far! Just hopefully I don't suddenly out of nowhere become near/long sighted like how my dad suddenly become short sighted just after his 18th birthday.

Not until recently. A few years back I was prescribed glasses I should wear them every day but I still am really self conscious about wearing them

Yeah I wear glasses. I've thought about getting contacts but I think I look better with my glasses on . Plus they're just easier than contacts.

Been wearing them since I was 6-ish.

I don't wear them, but seeing as I look at a lot of screens for long hours due to editing and video work, I know I'll need them eventually. A director at a company I've worked for on a freelance basis told me that if you've been editing for long enough, you should be wearing glasses as all do. Looks like that's in my future...

I dont wear them as an everyday requirement. My vision is good enough for me to live without them generally, but I need them for driving or reading text from a distance. I can a fair ways, but not well enough to read or make out details. Its like going from Standard VHS quality straight to modern HD. 

I have started wearing them when digitally drawing now, as it enables me to notice out of place pixels, i dont need them for PC use, but I do use them for games too. Just a habit from having chairs set back from teh screen. Same goes for TV, if its something Ive not seen before that im invested in, like MLP Movie, then I will wear my glasses so I dont miss details and backrgound easter eggs. 

It catches people out when they see me with glasses on. 

oh just to say - not been a since birth thing, ive worn glasses in class since I was about 14. I cannot see red text/writing naturally. Im not colour blind, for some reason red text on a whiteboard just blurs out. Always a pain when my Maths teachers did that =/ I never got bullied for being a "four eyes", the reactions were more "omg Jess you wear glasses?!"

I wear glasses, but I really hate them. I look stupid with glasses on, tbh.  I'm going to get contacts soon, thank god. I have what's called an "astigmatism" where one of my eyes (I believe it's my left eye) is a slightly different shape compared to the other, which causes me to have slight blurred vision. My vision isn't THAT horrible without glasses, in fact I go around refusing to wear them a lot, but I do have to squint a lot when I'm not wearing them. 

I've been having to wear them since I was about 13 or 14, so it's only been a couple years.

My eyes are horrible. I started wearing glasses when I was 4 and contacts around 12. I haven't worn glasses in a long time because my eyes are so bad it's basically just tunnel vision(no peripheral).

My prescription is -18 right eye, -15.5 left eye.

I've never been beaten.

I use to wear glasses back in elementary school. Not sure when I decided to stop wearing them, but I'm pretty sure it was by 4th or 5th grade, or at least I knew I didn't have them when I went to middle-school. My eyesight is pretty bad but I don't wear glasses or contacts. I manage just fine without them, but reading stuff from afar is pretty annoying.

I've been wearing glasses since middle school, I'm nearsighted.  I remember the first time I got my glasses, I walked out of the optometrist's with my brand-spanking-new glasses and I could actually read the signs in the mall!  It was like seeing the world for the first time.  Nowadays though, I kinda want to try contacts since I'm sick of my glasses fogging up all the time...  I normally don't wear glasses at home since I don't really need to and I try not to wear glasses when I'm on the computer either.

Yep, I am nearsighted and use glasses, but mostly when I have to drive and sit in front of the computer. When I have to work I always take them off so I won't get any dirt on them or destroy them.

I wear glasses. Proudly. One's glasses is a symbol of pride, glory, amazingness, goodlookingness, and fantasticpersonalityness. At no point does putting on one's glasses detract from their character, but instead amplifies it to a level far beyond even what a divine power could pull off. Without the power of glasses, all aspects of glamour would cease to exist, and therefore, people like me would cease to exist. A world without glasses is no world at all.
